Nailsea MicroPub — Restaurant in England

Very warm welcome on my first visit. Helpful owner offers advice to cater for your particular taste. Had a dark Yorshire mild or in my humble opinion was more like a porter ale with slightly edgy bitter taste. Mild is far sweeter. Convivial company, better than average Piper crisps. Mostly pale ales and ciders on the board, however, please note that you won't find the usual brands. Would definately visit again and would try the same Yorkshire mild porter! Wines...

Celebrating its first anniversary this former optician's shop is the last place you'd expect to find cask-conditioned ale. But its owners specialise in traditional English (and Welsh) beer straight from the barrel and served at room temperature, not chilled as most pubs do to attract younger drinkers. Unexpected welcome find while on trip passing through, so glad I did. Ticks all the micro pub boxes, so welcome vs chain style pubs. Decent smaller brewery beers on offer, as it happens one of them isinglass free so even better for that. Packed on my visit yet good service, atmosphere...
