This has to be the worst Nandos I've ever been to. We waited 45 minutes for a table as we were told there was nothing available. There were plenty of empty tables available at that time, but we waited anyway. Once we were told our table was ready via the queue system, we made our way back into the restaurant and the same empty tables were still available.
After ordering our food via the app, we waited a further 40 minutes for our food. I had to get up and ask where our food was as no one came to tell us our food may be a while.
Once we our food arrived there was no clean cutlery available and so we had to wait for that while our food got cold. Finally the cutlery was brought to us. My partner had the Veggie Bean Burger which was awful as it was cold and the bun was absolutely solid. We tried putting the cocktail stick into the bread, but it wouldn't go and just blunted the end. At this point we had waited so long and were so hungry that we just ate our food anyway, minus the bun. Furthermore, one came to check to see if our food was okay, so we would have had to go the counter to complain for a second time.
Our usual date night was ruined by the waiting and the terrible food. This isn't the first time we have had a bad experience at this Nandos, but as it's the most local to us, we thought we'd return in hope it had improved. Sadly, it hasn't and we definitely won't be returning again. It seems that the restaurant was prioritising it's takeaway service as we saw delivery drivers leaving with one order and then returning for the next while we were still waiting for ours to arrive at the table.
To top it off, partner told me that the ladles toilets were in a...

Read moreDon't bother! As a fan of Nandos, I strongly, do not recommend Rushden Lakes Nandos. Nandos is Nandos, good food and atmosphere usually as expected. However Rushden Lakes Nandos has a problem. A strange wait to get in, despite being half full, the waitress stuffed up our order and overcharged by around £15. They can't refund straight away and it took over three weeks after I complained. On top of being usless the waitress blanked us as we said thank you as we left. I never have this experience at any other Nandos and would definately not use this one again. My recommendation is if it has to be Nandos, go to Kettering or even Northampton, otherwise go to Wagammama, Bills, Wildwood, Pizza Express or some of the others that have recenty opened up at Rushden Lakes. My neighbours also told me they have had a similar poor experience at this Nandos. As someone who eats out a lot, my parting thought, if something is wrong at a place likle this, the Manager is usually at fault, they need to sort out the customer experience and not only reply to good feedback on reviews like this. I am certain this wont get a reply looking at other reviews. Next I'll leave a review for Wagamammas in Milton Keynes where I had a fantastic meal last weekend and experience which was the polar opposite to Nandos...
