A Truly Disheartening Visit â Poor Service Amidst a Chaotic Atmosphere
Where do I even begin? Iâve visited this Caffè Nero at Luton Airport before and generally found it adequateâdrinks decent, staff usually friendly. But my most recent experience with my wife was genuinely disappointing.
It started with the chaotic seating area. Nearly every table was occupiedânot by active customers, but by commuters sprawled out asleep, surrounded by piles of luggage and discarded rubbish. Not exactly the ambiance you expect when trying to grab a quiet cup.
While I searched for a spot, my wife went to place our order. What followed was an unnecessarily unpleasant exchange. She attempted to use a valid voucher, only to be rudely dismissed by an employee (I believe the name was Sheenam). Not only was her tone unnecessarily curt, but she initially claimed the voucher was invalid without any meaningful explanation. When my wife insisted it should work, the employee begrudgingly involved a managerâwho validated it without issue. So⌠it was valid all along?
And while the other staff members werenât overtly rude, they were dismissive when we asked for clarification on the employeeâs nameâsomething we had every right to request for the purpose of giving proper feedback.
To be fair, the drinks themselves werenât bad. I actually enjoyed my matcha latte. But when the customer service feels this dismissive and the environment this neglected, the entire experience becomes sour.

Read moreâCaffe Neroâ which is located at London Luton Airport offers a variety of the Italian coffee. On the second day of summer, I ordered Americano coffee and a plain croissant. The Italian coffee with the butter croissant were fresh and delicious. I was served by a very pleasant member of "Caffe Nero" staff who explained to me the difference between Regular and Large Americano which is two shots for regular and three shots for large coffee. The service was fast and excellent. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxing to hide from the crowds of rushing passengers. Besides there was classical music playing in the cafe. There are also cosy tables and chairs and even books on the shelves inside, so you may enjoy a wonderful Italian coffee and spend a nice time there. There is also an opportunity to get your tenth coffee absolutely free by collecting stamps. Thank you for your service and...
Read moreReally disappointed with the service I received at cafe Nero today. I was ordering as one does and this worker who was I assume Indian was quite rude when I was trying to answer the questions about the drink I was ordering. She told me âto stop screamingâ when I repeated something because she couldnât hear me when I repeated it back 5 times. I did not shout I just repeated it louder so that she could hear me. She then decided to walk off and huff and puff. She also proceeded to chuck my drink and leave it there instead of giving it to me.
Extremely disappointed with the customer service I received here and will be going the cafe Nero complaint department about this lady. Extremely unhappy with what happened and this seemed to be a racially motivated incident as she saw I was evidently hijabi and her colleague legit was shocked at...
