Appalling from start to finish. There is no table service but no signs to indicate this. When I arrived I stood waiting to be directed where to sit like at other airport restaurants. The staff just walked past me. Eventually a customer had to tell me they won’t come and just to seat myself. When I sat I had no menu. And the same customer had to explain that I had to go to the bar to order myself. I ordered a full English and a tea. I asked to swap the mushroom medley for toast which is a cheaper product. Yet they left the mushrooms and charged me almost £4 for ONE slice of cold toast. My breakfast was still charged at almost £13 with less items. They asked me which table and you just have to point and hope for the best as there are no numbers. Many tables were getting wrong orders. I had to wait at the bar for my pot of tea which I had to carry back to my table myself on the servers tray. When I got there, there was not enough water to make even one cup so I had to go return it and wait for it to get made again. Once my breakfast came it had scrambled when I asked for fried, and the waiter actually said “no you specified scrambled” despite him not being the person who took my order. He left to change it and left me with my cold toast, but no knife to spread the butter. The breakfast came back and both fried eggs had raw whites. I am pregnant and cannot eat this. The potato’s were like dried bullets. And the bacon was not a full rasher. The breakfast was clearly the original one with the scramble scraped off because it was stone cold.
All in all, £19 for terrible food, terrible service and apathetic staff. The man who changed my tea was lovely though and the bar staff were nice, but clearly they have no direction or just aren’t paid...
Read moreI am really sorry to give this review but the way that one of the staff was talking during the evening was very rude. Firstly, as my flight got delayed by 2 hours, I was searching a socket to charge my phone. I was planning to buy a drink of course. I stepped on the bar where an area was closed - I didn't notice, sorry - and the red hair lady (sorry if I'm miss-gendering here) shouted "Excuse me, this area is closed" making the rest of the customers noticing this, like I stepped in borderline. I said, fine, so I left and sat at the open area, at the sofa. Went at the bar to be served, asked for a large merlot and some crisps or nuts. The answer for th me nuts was straight "no" with attitude, which I am pretty sure they could be seen at the menu. They didn't have them? Ok, fine, there's another way to say it. I said it's fine, I will have the wine. I paid, after the transcaction she informed me that there's no Merlot, there's Pinot Noir. I said fine. Leaving the bar, drinking my wine, the bar had to close at some point. The staff smashed some glasses, they were laughing about it, and so did we as customers. At the end they said finish your drinks please and I went to the bar to ask for a paper cup so I wouldn't take the glass out of the area. One of the staff apologised to me and while they were talking the red hair lady answered "no paper cups" again in a very sharp way. To conclude, I understand that she must be working for hours, she must have had a bad day or something but her way was not ideal, not even kind. I am pretty sure she is very proactive at the bar, at least that's how she seemed walking up and down to close everything. But! Why not being a bit more kind...
Read moreWish I could rate this place 0 stars since I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at an airport restaurant. The young woman taking our order was extremely rude. We ordered avocado toast with scrambled egg.
After a while we were approached by a server with egg on toast, which we obviously thought was for another table and told her it was not our order. We saw her walk around with the egg on toast and then she and the young rude woman came to us and told us this was our order. I told her we had ordered avocado toast with scrambled egg but she told us we were wrong and had ordered egg on toast. She was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in a service job and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to get the right order.
She took the plates and then returned with the same plates with now cold eggs and toast with half an avocado on the side of the plate. For this she also wanted to charge me £9 for an extra added to egg on toast. At this point I was fed up with the rudeness and just asked for a refund. I got the refund for the food, while she told the server, very loudly so everyone nearby could hear, to throw the food in the bin. One of us ordered a soda and had had a few sips of it while waiting for the food. That we did not get refunded, even though it was barely touched and we obviously did not want to waist one more minute in that horrible place. This left us with little time to find food elsewhere before our plane departed.
Do yourself a favour and go ANYWHERE else for food and drinks at...
