I just found out that employees do not get wages set out in their contract. It's a "service not included" meaning employees are paid by tips, which by nature should be on top of wages, in reward for above average service, decided by customer, not extorted from customer by implying that unless Tim is given, employee won't be paid. This is not USA, practices of exploitation of both clients and own employees this way aren't a part of culture. When I look at menu and see price, I expect everything needed for me to enjoy my meal is included in that price. That is, table, chair, plate, fork and knife, food, someone who will make it and bring it to me. To demand me to pay extra at the end us cheating me. To deny employees fair and stable wages is cheating on own employees.

This place just lost a customer. And I told staff there are better jobs out there.

Reply to owners reply: No, I will not contact you directly. I want these practices out. Practices and companies using these practices. I want you out. Thus, I'm not giving you my custom, and by now, you know exactly why. This leaves you with improvement opportunity, choice is yours and yours alone. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Someone lies. Either way, not a comfortable situation.

I had dinner at Nolito Italian Restaurant before my flight at Luton Airport, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much—just needed a quiet place to grab a bite. But wow, this place blew me away.

First off, the atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed for an airport. Dimmed lighting, magnificent background music, and a layout that gave you just enough privacy to feel like you weren’t dining in a terminal.

I ordered the Linguine Gamberoni and a glass of house red. The pasta was cooked perfectly, with a generous amount of prawns, and the sauce had just the right amount of heat. It tasted fresh, not overly salty or heavy like you sometimes get in busy places. The wine was smooth and paired beautifully.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Keira looked after my table, and she was brilliant—friendly without being overbearing, quick to check in without hovering, and genuinely warm. You could tell she cared about the little things. Even offered me some garlic bread while I waited, which was a nice touch.

Considering it’s an airport restaurant, the prices were totally fair for the quality of food and service. I actually lingered longer than I planned because it was just a really pleasant experience.

It was very impressive that Nolito does everything to offer a high-end Italian bar and restaurant experience at an unbelievably reasonable price range. While most of the airport dining establishments charge the same or more for reheated small amount of greasy food, Nolito does the complete opposite!! The quality of the ingredients was top-notch. I could right away tell that they cook everything fresh in the kitchen upon order, and the amount of food is very filling, just like in Italy. The starter calamari fritto misto I had was very authentically Italian, to which I would have to expect to pay for significantly more at a London restaurant, but Nolito generously offers it at only £11. The staff members also made my quick bite visit very comfortable. They are all very attentive, sophisticated, yet remaining friendly. I will definitely come here straight for a genuine Italian dining experience whenever I fly from Luton. The location is closer to brand-named shops after most of restaurants. If you walk pass by all the low quality overpriced airport restaurants, then you can find this true Italian culinary sanctuary inside Luton airport!
