We were sat down 15m before breakfast ended. The waitress finally came over at 11:32 to take our order. Because of dietary requirements it was limited what I can eat, so I chose smashed avocado and poached egg, I was told that I couldn't have it as breakfast finished at 11:30. I explained why I had asked for that due to illness. Was told no you still cant, and the lunch menu didn't begin till 12 so couldn't have anything off that either, could only have cake, which I had already explained I couldn't eat due to illness. Got a shoulder shrug. Was so disappointed with the lack of anything towards dietary requirements. The staff had no cohesion, there was no structure within, they were running around like headless chickens not knowing what to do, massive faux pas from the management there! We ended up with toasted tea cake as needed food and it was probably the onpy item that I could try (followed by medication!!) and it was brought over, without cutlery (for the jam). Two of us were on our table and ordered the same , yet only 1 came, so we queried and were told the other coffee and teacake "wont be long"! What? It was a whole ordee but only half a table served, never had that before lol. Another table had scones, and they too weren't given a knife, could be messy spreading that jam and cream! A chap called Colin came in and sat on the table behind us, he tried to order a bacon sandwich, was told no. So he ordered a takeaway latte, it came in a cafe mug. They then gave him a free toasted teacake because he couldn't have breakfast, yet we got nothing. Staff needs serious training in customer service and also food intolerance and allergies. As we were sat before they had finished breakfast and it was obly 2 minutes after when they finally came to take our order, surely they could have asked chef, instead I had to eat something that made me ill, I had no choice I needed to eat. Management need to put some structure in place, so that staff know what role they are in that day, a cafe cant be run with people running around confused. Made me sad as when the kiosk was there originally it was really great. The new cafe looks amazing so it was really sad that the above happened, as it will probably stop us returning. I dont wish to have to eat something that will...

Terrible service and the place was a mess. I hate having to write negative reviews but myself and family were really shocked at what we paid for our food and the service we received. When paying such high prices you expect to eat in a clean environment with good service. We got neither. We asked staff where we order and she didn't really know. We took a seat outside, it was filthy. We would have went else where but we had 4 hungry kids and it was past lunchtime. After waiting so long we went to the counter to wait some more. When we finally got served we were told abruptly that is we are eating outside we need to wait for staff to come out. There was no staff apart from behind the counter. The place was a mess. Food all over the floor no tables had been Cleared. We explained we had waited so long already and she took our order reluctantly. 4 chips and 4 single scoop ice creams... we didn't bother getting ourself anything as we just wanted the kids fed and out. £28!!! The ice creams came shortly after but then we had to wait ages for the chips. The staff came out and said sorry no fries would you like chunky chips. We couldn't belive they hadn't even started to make them. No apology either. I was half temped to ask for a sweeping brush to clean the floor. It was so bad. Rubbish and dog hair everywhere. On the plus side the food does look lovely but the prices charged are shocking for the service you receive. I have photos of the mess we had to eat in but I can not find where to...

I rarely write bad reviews but I needed to this time..If you just want to pop in grab a tea or coffee it's ok I guess but after a long walk along the beach you may want to sit relax and have something nice to eat. Great building great spot but inside no atmosphere, staff mulling around seemingly wanting to go home. I bet the owner doesnt work there. It was just an absolute rubbish experience I witnessed staff being quite abrupt and rude to a costomer. Considering it is the only place that's near the beach that you can have a drink and a bite to eat I was far from impressed. Theyre totally missing the point and missing the trick. For a place to be so near the beach and have zero charm or atmosphere staff were moody not helpful you have to pay for parking pay £5 for WiFi..the food was basic they gave us full menus when we got in just before while we were choosing from theyre very basic menu the server failed to mention that they stop doing the very lunch thats on the menu thet she gave us. Flipping eck they only close at 4.30. So the only savoury food available were some pretty bland semi burnt stodgy cheeseless cheese scones or else one had to purchase their expensive fancy cakes..£6.00 plus each. Come on how hard is it to make cheese or ham sandwich or some toast or Toasties.I ll be going to eat somewhere on the way there orl on the way back and drive to the nearest place Google can find Better still my advice take a pack up and a...

Called in for Father's Day breakfast with the family arrived around 10.10am and was promptly seated place was very busy but our order was taken quickly and drinks arrived soon after the coffee is very strong 👌, The wait for food took a little longer than expected and my 8yr old was growing impatient but when it arrived he was more than happy he had the full English and said the Sausage & Bacon where tasty, I went for the Veggie breakfast which was very nice tho could have been hotter, one strange issue we had was the breakfasts are advertised to come with 2 eggs but we only had 1 we enquiried and was told by I think may have been the cook that it was a typo and you only get 1 egg when it's busy! Strange maybe they only have so many eggs so as not to run out you only get 1 still the menu should say this....But apart from that minor issue all was good.

Visited for lunch and a coffee. The cafe is nicely decorated and has a nice chilled atmosphere if you're sitting in. There aren't a lot of tables as it is a small cafe, so if it's busy you could be outside. Initially service was prompt and our order was taken. They take payment prior to getting your food. I had the Pesto, Chicken + Tomato panini and it was really tasty. However we then waited a while to be served again. When we were brought our coffee, the server asked "are these yours?" without telling us what the coffees were. I'm still not sure if they were, as the coffees were ordered with syrup in but I couldn't taste any. Having said that, the place shows promise and hasn't been open long. If you fancy a decent sarnie at the beach, it's not bad.

Lovely renovation of a lovely little cafe situated in the beautiful Seaham. The decor inside is stunning and the owners have clearly spent a few pounds modernising the place since I last visited! It has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. The Car park is huge and you couldn't be located closer to a more stunning sea view than visiting this lovely, warm establishment. I only tasted the coffee, to drink in and to takeaway. However they have a full menu of delicious delights to choose from. Highly recommend visiting. Very friendly and welcoming staff too.
