Drinking spot. A reasonable pub in a desert of reasonable places. Excellent and cheap bar, olde style, great floor finish and top ladies facilities; all welcome, loads of locals occupying a locals table - they won't put you off if in need of liquid sustenance any time of the aftereve. I popped in on a warm day as I had a bit of time and really didn't want a coffee in a soulless coffee house, and fancied a cool beer. Wonderful friendly regulars, who chatted away, and who I had a bit of a giggle with, and after a refreshing half a shandy, and a pleasant sit in the beer garden I left. Shan't be visiting again. I was short-changed on my first visit, unintentionally I'm sure, but upon raising the issue to bar staff, I was harangued by other customers, one of whom kept placing pound coins on the bar and asking 'how much more do you want?' while the same bar staff just stood by and didn't seem to care. Ended up leaving to avoid trouble. Not a friendly place to newcomers...
