Pangbournes Café is a charming little spot with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It has the feel of a true local gem – not overly touristy, but clearly well-loved by the people who live in the area. The highlight of our visit was the excellent full English breakfast, which was perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Everything from the quality of the ingredients to the friendly service made for a really pleasant experience. Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for a cozy, authentic café to enjoy a proper English breakfast.

We visited here for lunch in the week during the summer holidays ,staff were very friendly and a good menu choice including a range of vegetarian and vegan options which is really good. The cafe is really clean which is good for a small cafe. The sausage and mash came with a pot of tea and we got 2 cans of drink. We also ordered a baguette (the last one!) and a coronation chicken sandwich which was delicious. Highly recommended

Great little cafe. The food was very good for the price (cafe standard) and the service was excellent. Was warned at time of ordering one of our meals would take longer but was only 2 or 3 minutes behind other meals. And they apologised again. Very clean, good with kids (they have a small play area, very small but kudos to them as most nowadays don't have anything for little kids) I would recommend

I am writing a book and wanted a change of scene. I was in the cafe for just over an hour and spent £10.50. It got to 11am, and the staff seemed keen for me to leave to make way for the lunchtime rush. I felt that was a bit unfair because I'd been careful to make sure I wasn't just taking up space (I'd even offered to move for a young family who came in as I felt my table was better than theirs) and I did spend money. I was told next time I came that if I wanted to work, I should sit on a particular table which was cramped into the corner. The cafe still had 5 tables free when this request was made. I don't think there will be a next time because of this.

It's a shame because I did enjoy the food and the coffee was very good. I was deliberately supporting a local business rather than a chain. I just didn't feel welcome. I guess there are people who come in and take up space with minimal spend - and this must be quite triggering for the staff, but I didn't feel I was one of those. Next time sadly, I will probably...

Avoid.

This place has been going down hill since being taken over, but despite previous poor service, we try to support small local business so have continued to go in occasionally.

Today was the last straw. Having gone in with my family, I asked a customer sat on her own at a large table whether she'd mind moving to a smaller table (a guy at an adjacent table even said he'd leave so she could move to his) but she said she'd be told it was OK by the staff and stayed put with her coffee, pointing at the adjacent table too small for lunch with 2 kids pedantically counting "1-2-3-4 chairs" out loud. What a lovely lady.

We won't be returning..... We had a much friendlier experience and great food at Cafe St-Louis instead. Suggest anyone reading this...

We came here as we saw had play room for kids. Turns out was just table with colouring. We then ordered ice creams and chips. The ice cream was for the kids and we asked for it in turns up in rock hars cone. The ice cream was the strangest ice creams it was all stringy and thick so we didnt let kids eat them then the chips came out and they were crinkled chips i wish they would say crinkled chips on menu and not just ‘chips’ as i wouldnt of ordered them. So overall we paid for ice cram and chips but didnt eat them and then had to go somewhere else to get ice cream and chips. Would not...
