First impressions were good but that quickly changed. Tables were so sticky you couldn't place arms, hands or clothing on them. In an attempt to find some kind of comfort for the kids we resorted to placing napkins down that immediately adhered to the table.
Menus or our table had seen better days and had stains.
Having ordered a selection of pizza's they came promptly but sadly were not cut through into slices despite being almost paper thin and with little topping.
An 11" pizza ordered for a child I would suggest be cut into more than 4 slices!
No plates were provided, the metal trays the pizza's came on were way to hot for the children to touch presumably having come straight from the oven. I believe this because despite having a wood fired oven where pizza's are normally cooked directly on the stone, ours were blackened on the crust tops and still pale and doughy in the center.
Without any clear idea who management were and the member of staff that had taken our order seemingly disappearing to sort a parking issue, I felt it pointless to relay the issues we had experienced to the person I found in order to pay.
With hungry children to feed elsewhere despite the £40+ bill I wasn't in the mood to hang around.
This might have been an off night but sadly ruined our family meal out.

Read moreWhen it comes to pizza in Cornwall, we’re a shadow short of existence. Only supermarkets seem to hold the consistency with their frozen rings of indigestion. Not today. I ordered from the Pizzeria 42. Even though I didn’t manage to migrate from my log warmed sofa, Kernow-eats provided me with a convenience that I’m not yet used to. High quality fresh pizza under my own roof. From the moment the rugged, yet yielding cardboard landed in my palms, my mind was obsessed with uncovering its contents. ‘The Funghi’ hit a home run. I’ve consumed other local truffle-based sorcery, that has sent me home underwhelmed, and longing for relief. Again, not today. ‘The Hot & Sticky’ accompanied the baseball reference and left the diamond honourably. The roast potatoes reminded me how I like my aioli, and along with the rest of my experience, it was faultless. All in all, this Wednesday has turned...

Oh yes! And a good one at that.
Recommended by everybody. It was mentioned a few times that it has changed ownership, always a delicate affair. But this pizza was good and lived up to high expectations.
We ordered a pepperoni one, but with double pepperoni. Pizza isn’t usually my thing, but if I’m out, I’ll overdo it just because. But Double pepperoni delivered all the flavor and punch and the delicious grease you expect. Happy days!
The garlic bread was good too, with enough of everything on it.
The only disappointment was the meatballs, which were unnecessarily hot spicy. But hey ho.
A nice salad to balance it out and a couple of drinks didn’t break the bank.
Service was attentive, swift, and smiley.
If you are around Penryn, go and pay them a visit.
They have...
