The food was served quickly but a little underwhelming for the price, the hash browns tasted a bit burnt and drinks were very expensive; a 330ml glass of Pepsi costing almost £4.
Table service was handy however, and the staff were very friendly and was greeted at the door upon arrival. Atmosphere reminded me of an American Diner which was really refreshing, with an open look into the kitchen as chefs made the meals.

Read morePoppins is the old fashioned English cafe updated. The seats and tables look similar but the quality us better, the lighting is brighter, and things are clean and hygienic. Service has improved too, the staff are attentive, polite and helpful.
The menu is about the same as it ever was however the change in quality is apparent here as well, everything is cooked just that bit better than things were forty years ago, nothing fried is too greasy, vegetables aren't too soggy or too dry, and nothing is cold. Coffee is fresh and real, not instant, a distinct improvement.
