Booked a table for a midweek treat and having heard such good things. Was told at the time of booking that a live band would be on at the time requested, appreciated as then you know rather than it be an unexpected (potentially unwanted surprise) so top marks there for customer service.

when we arrived the band and bar were in full flow (our table booked for 20:15) this didn't stop us being able to get to the bar and acknowledge our booking. We were taken to our table (better than some restaurants been to where they just point out your table) asked if we would like a drink while we browsed the menu. Again Customer service TICK

The menu was a great range of food for all tastes and it took me along time to decide (in a good way) Tapas looked tempting too.

We ordered and the food was out in good time considering how busy it was.

The whole atmosphere and ambiance was spot on, the band played a good style of folk music which seemed to really fit well in the atmosphere, wasn't too loud or overbearing. The bar and eating area cleverly separated without being isolated.

We loved the decor too!

The staff worked very hard and were very attentive with serving.

Will 100% recommend and return.

If i had to find one thing it would be perhaps some other lagers on tap? but that is just me being picky

Absolutely great, firstly we were greeted by lovely friendly staff, we were seated and had the menu explained, I’m a gluten free vegetarian, my sister-in-law is also gf. We were then served drinks whilst we made up our minds. The veggie antipasto was so nice I could barely eat my pizza! To be fair the antipasto was for two, my husband and his sister had calamari which they said was delicious, so they weren’t much help with mine! Their mains were equally delicious. The three of us were stuffed, but we just had to try a dessert, two of us shared as we were very satisfied already! A delicious crumble with clotted cream. 😋 I had the rest of my pizza boxed, that’s my dinner tomorrow sorted! 😋 I almost forgot to mention the live music, they were great too, all together a great experience, well worth a visit, 5⭐️ everything....

We came here expecting high quality food, The hake was ok to good, the Italian smash burger was way too salty because of seasoning and the pancetta, and the rosemary fries were almost unbearable to eat with so much salt, the brioche bun was completely soggy on the base because of putting the onion marmalade on to it instead of either between the burger patties or ontop on the burger patties. the tirasmsu was at best mediocre, the chocolate sauce on top was basically coco powder and water... so bland. The cappuccino was very watery and weak in flavor. The waiting staff were excellent very attentive, although we didn't complain about the food, i have worked as a chef and know how demoralising it can be having food sent back. It wasn't bad food but it wasn't really great...
