Poynton Tea Room — Restaurant in England

We were the lucky recipients of an absolutely scrumptious Afternoon Tea yesterday (Friday) Came as a total surprise as it was ordered by our daughter. We really enjoyed it, although we couldn’t manage everything all at once. Round 1, scones jam and cream, early afternoon. Round 2, sandwiches, vol au vents, sausage rolls, salad and couple of slices of cake. Round 3, cheese and onion flan, lunch (Saturday). Round 4 rest of the cakes, (carrot, Victoria sponge, Black Forest and a couple of macaroons) later on today. Treated my wife to a delivered afternoon tea, of course I doubled up. Delivered on the dot. Wife didn't know and I think I scored some major points here, lol. Beautifully presented. Looked fabulous and tasted the same. Every item was so tasty. The treat cannot be eaten in one sitting, which is good as you then get 2 or 3 treats instead of one. You would have to do something very special to beat this tea. Would recommend this tea to everyone. Dietary requirements catered for too. Great as i have not allergy, this was noted and assured would be not free. Thank you Poynton tea rooms....

Called in on the off chance today and what a bloody good find this place was. My mum had the cheese on toast and I had a prawn sandwich which came with crisps and salad and coleslaw and a pot of tea. Everything was so so fresh, the prawns weren’t those tiny little stingy things that you get in most places.

You could tell everything was made with love, great service too. Will definitely return here next time I am in the area and have already recommended it to friends and on...
