Just-Ice Poynton — Restaurant in England

Just spent £9.70 on two waffle basket ice creams. The baskets were stale as if they were from last summer (and so soft they can't have been kept in an air tight container). The raspberry and white chocolate ice cream had frozen icy lumps in it. The banoffee ice cream was quite tasty. The morello cherry sorbet was pretty flavourless and lots of large chunks of ice (clearly not been churned for months). Worst was the peach sorbet which was so bad neither of us could finish it. Service was dreadful. We waited a good 5 minutes to be served in a cafe of about 8 customers. There was one man chatting on the phone surrounded by 3 other women who must have looked at us about 10 times, before the man, still on the phone, came over to us to serve us and finally finished his call. Clearly overpriced and obviously the staff are more interested in chatting about their own business than serving their customers. I would not recommend this place,nor will I...

This wonderful cafe selling absolutely delicious ice-cream, coffee and cake in the lovely village of Poynton is well-worth a visit. (You will also be supporting survivors of human trafficking - the name Just-ice is a play on the word Justice.) If you want a top quality ice cream treat your favourite indulgence is bound to be there in the selection. You can enjoy it plain or with lots of fancy toppings. There are also hot waffles and pancakes, a delicious ever-changing assortment of home baked cakes and cookies - made in-house by volunteer staff - plus a wide range of fair trade drinks, homemade soup and cheese scones. Please don’t miss this little gem of a place. You’ll have a warm welcome too...

Absolutely fabulous and amazing charity based cafe. Warm and friendly ladies serving as volunteers. Atmosphere is so nice. Homemade cakes with plenty of choice on gluten free ones. Not just the usual brownie. The amount of ice cream flavours are just something else. Plenty of people coming in for it despite the cold weather! Dog friendly too …what more could you ask for 🐶 Will definitely visit again and again now...
