Promenade Café — Restaurant in England

Have used the Promenade Cafe on many past occasions and had the best experience, However on our last visit July 2024 it seems to have changed hands, Sign on window Stated No seating inside the cafe on Dry Days?No seating outside either at around 3.30 pm as they were clearing down, purchased 3 Tea's and asked the young assistant for a Tap water for my son to be told the water wasn't fit for drinking but I could purchase a bottle, what utter rubbish. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning....

Tea was fine. Scone and butter - left plenty of room for improvement. Flat scone with 3 pieces of dried fruit in. Ready "buttered" - I queried the butter, clearly it was not a thin scraping of butter but a spread. I was told it was butter- FLORA is not butter. Butter comes from cows not machines! Server said not his problem he only works there - he needs to pass my comments on. If you're serving spread say it's spread, then I would not be...

We came to Grange over sands for the day and noticed this cafe but noticed a sign saying indoor seating closed on a dry day. They had 7 tables outside which when it is dry and warm is not enough tables outside as I imagine would get busy. Not everyone wants to sit outdoors either. They either need more outdoor seating or to open indoors to so this put us off staying here as there was no outdoor...
