Fish over Chips — Restaurant in England

Absolutely delicious fish, chips & mushy peas. Will definitely be calling again for lots more of the same. Staff smiled and were very polite but friendly, everything was so fresh and we didn't have to wait very long at all. I'm one of those weird folk who can't eat chips with grey or black bits in them, don't mock, it's a genuine thing (to me anyway 🍟) these were perfect, clean, fluffy inside with crispy edges, just heaven. The fish was a very good size, batter again for my fussy self, wasn't hard but crispy while still having a soft texture, peas were exactly as mushy peas should be, none of that squashed marrowfat flavourless rubbish with the skins in. e eat here regularly. Wide range of dishes on offer plus specials. They will meet with any reasonable request i.e. my wife is very fond of double egg & chips & beans . My favourite, omelettes, comes with cheese, mushroom & tomatoes or any combination of them. They are very vegetarian friendly and even have vegetarian gravy which I particularly enjoy. I used to eat cheese and mushroom omelette for most lunchtime meals when we holidayed in France. Fish Over Chips omelettes compare very favourably in my opinion. From memory the owner has a smallholding where he keeps free range hens which go into the omelettes. The place is spotless as are the toilets. Always greet us with a smile and a friendly welcome. This is a must visit if you are a coeliac or even gluten intolerant. Phoned to ask what gluten free options they had and immediately was filled with confidence that they knew exactly how to cater for a coeliac. They had a specific gluten free vinegar, homemade gf curry sauce which was sublime, not to mention the batter was delicious. Beautifully crispy but not too greasy! They have so many options to chose from, I had to take a picture of their board to share as I couldn't see a picture of this online.
