We visited here on Friday 20th May 2022 looking for a late breakfast. The main cafĂ© area was fairly small but a good number of tables fitted in, more seating downstairs. Toilets clean and fresh. Didn’t have any but the cakes on offer looked lovely! The lady who served us seemed to know the locals and was talking to us and them, which just made the whole a atmosphere friendly and nice. It really felt like a local cafĂ©. We both had the mini breakfast and it was so fresh, the eggs were lovely and runny as well. There was really only that on the menu if you’re looking for a breakfast, which was ÂŁ7.95. I wouldn’t say it was filling, but if you’re looking for a really good quality breakfast then definitely give it a try. Plenty of other items on the menu for lunch and did I mention cake 👀

Safe to say this place was one of the highlights visits on the holiday!! Quite a small places but the ladies who work there are absolutely amazing, the customer service is superb and the food and treats are so tasty!! I had a hot chocolate and chocolate milkshake which were both fantastic. The leek and potato soup was nice and thick with lots of flavour and then lastly the chocolate caramel shortbread was possibly the best I have ever had. Definitely the best cafe in the area 👍

Lovely lil cafe , nice friendly staff , great choice of food , it’s a lil more expensive than I’m used to but as a treat it’s lovely and it is Grange after all . I had the breakfast stack which was tasty ,elderflower drink and I can’t remember the exact name but it was a lemon meringue cake with ice cream very yummy . Dog friendly .Highly recommend when visiting Grange

We recently visited this café and had a mixed experience. While the food was reasonably priced for the Lake District and generally tasty, there were a few issues that impacted our visit.

Upon arrival, the staff member who greeted us appeared quite disinterested and unwelcoming, which unfortunately set a negative tone. When we walked downstairs, we also noticed a staff member vaping in the kitchen area, which raised hygiene concerns.

There was a 30-minute wait for food, which we didn’t mind, but when my mini breakfast arrived, it was missing sausages—despite the menu clearly listing them as part of the dish. While the meal itself was delicious, the missing item and lack of staff engagement have led me to give a 3-star rating.

With a little more attention to customer service and kitchen standards, this café has the potential to offer a much...

I came with my partner and son on a Thursday afternoon as we were staying at the nearby Haven site. Our son wanted ice cream and they had a sign outside so we headed inside. We ordered a fruit scone, soup of the day with cheese scone and a side of chips with two ice cream cones for afterwards. All the food was fresh and delicious. The chips were labeled as hand cut and you could tell, they were really tasty. Bonus points for the cheese scone coming warm - delicious! All the staff we encountered were really friendly and chatty and it was a lovely place to...
