Finally found a Thali serving restaurant in Luton.. Food, price, quality and quantity is a 10 star for me. It was reasonable enough for a single person, the quality was authentic so was the quantity. Being a Kolkatan, we crave for tastes specifically for Indo Chinese foods as usually people can't make it however this time my taste buds overcome the bridge and found some authentic Indo chinese. I had some take away ordered from here too after dinning in with my friend who is a pure white brit and he loved it. I would say everyone including the Brits should at least once visit this food place and explore the authenticity... However can't end without mentioning the star character of this one stop shop, Mr UDAYSHANKAR ANNA, very rarely seen such a humble, with down to earth behaviour, who took orders with such smile. I did disturb him quite a lot of times for different orders and each time he attended me with such a generous smile... The restaurant should get added more stars for Anna... The sunshine of the food place.. Didn't have much pictures clicked as the battery was down but had a real nice experience as an outsider...

This South Indian restaurant in Luton is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm aromas and vibrant decor transported us straight to India. The menu boasts an incredible variety of dishes, just like you'd find in a bustling Indian hotel. I opted for the Chicken Thali and was blown away! The curries were richly spiced and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and the accompanying dessert was the perfect sweet finish. To top it all off, they even offer sweet pan – a rare and delightful touch. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a true taste of South Indian cuisine. The service was warm and attentive, the prices were reasonable, and the experience was unforgettable.

We visited this friendly and welcoming restaurant on Saturday evening. No one in our group had been here before but we had seen the menu online and were excited to try it! This isn’t a typical ‘English Indian’ as the menu has more specialities from the south of India and lots of menu items my parents were not familiar with. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were helpful and kind. We knew a few if the things we wanted to try but they also suggested some other items in the menu and we went with most of their suggestions. They really know what they’re talking about. We had a lot of different starters, of which I think the Samosa Chat and Stuffed mushrooms were my favourite. The vegetable Manchurian also went down well. The mini tiffin is definitely worth a try and would be a very filling lunch on its own. The masala paratha is flaky heavenly goodness and the dal makhani typically comforting! All in all a very pleasant experience. We recommend anyone to give it a go as I’m sure the staff will help you find things to your taste. I’m looking forward to going again when we’re next...

Wow......HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.....

Alankar dishes are inspired by more than 20 different Indian cuisines mixing traditional cooking styles with a modern approach. The spices are sourced directly from India and mixed with local ingredients to create a fresh and authentic taste. Each dish is home cooked by a well known chef which makes the dining experience even more unique and one of a kind.

A personal favorite of mine is Jeera Chicken Wings, Methi Chicken and Fish Masala, every dish is excellent and made to taste, all the classic favorites are on the menu.

The restaurant has recently undergone a new decor refurbishment and gives the restaurant a new fresh look, to give it a fantastic dining ambience. Can't with for the Lockdown to be lifted, so i can take my family and friends to Alankar, which undoubtedly deserves its reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in Luton

Compliments to the new owners with an excellent chef on board, that go the extra mile with dishes tailor-made to your taste along with an excellent service, whether dining In or Out.

Once again, Well done to the new owners "Sanjay" and...
