I bought my mum here for lunch for a belated mother's day meal. We came in and seated ourselves as the sign directed us to. We ordered a glass of wine, a cup of tea and two salads using the app. After waiting over 15 minutes for our drinks, watching other who sat after us, receive their food, I mentioned this to a server. After waiting HALF AN HOUR in total - our drinks came, mom didn't get any sugar or spoon for her tea. She asked for sugar and was bought two packs of demerara sugar. Our food came immediately after the drinks. The salmon on my mom's salad was "seasoned", I tasted it, and it bought tears to my eyes it was so spicy! (I order madras from the curry house so its clear whatever this seasoning was done incorrectly). My Ceasar salad was incorrectly dressed and dry, and the croutons were soggy. Nobody checked on how the food was. Will not be returning. I think 2 stars is extremely generous considering.

Happen to drop in for lunch, noting their online ordering system, which suited me fine (being a solo traveller) so I got online, scanned their code, banged in the table number, ordered the "beef & red wine lasagne" and a large lemonade, entered credit card details... then got an error. I headed to the bar to check if my order had gone through, but whilst waiting the barmaid brought my drink over so it looked like things had worked. Indeed, it wasn't long before my meal came out (which should be accompanied with a side salad but came with crusty garlic bread instead - arguably better). The meal itself wasn't anything great - served in a small tall pot rather than a wider dish, but was sufficient for a lunchtime snack. Next time I may try something off the grill menu, but for the cheap price it did the trick.

We ordered via the QR code and waited over 15mins for our drinks, even though the restaurant was not busy, no one was at the bar ordering drinks so they had plenty of time to bring our drinks over. Do not order any of the chicken starter dishes. We ordered the boneless southern-fried chicken for £6.29 and this is what came. Cannot believe a restaurant is charger that price for 3 small pieces of chicken. After complaining to the staff, the manager was not in, and asking for a refund they weren’t bothered and said we couldn’t have a refund on that basis. Even asked the staff if they would pay that price for that food and they didn’t say a word, says it all! The rest of the food was lovely but very disappointed with the prices of their starters.

Booked a table for my girlfriend and I and later amended booking for slightly later, no problems there. Was seated and was given menus, ended up ordering over the app, no problems. The starter came, loaded garlic bread, it was okay, bit soggy but still edible... Our main meals came, hers was a double chicken burger, chips were great but the chicken felt very dry and almost frost bitten. By the time I'd got around to my double burger after eating the chips, I lifted the top of the bun to reveal some sort of plastic bag material melted into the cheese, a member of the waiting staff happened to ask me how the meal was going so I pointed that out, she took the whole plate away for a new one, couldn't fault the waiting staff at all, no issues at all with them. When the burger came back, my girlfriend was already halfway into finishing which wasn't brilliant but still, took one bite of the burger and had to check that my teeth hadn't fallen out, I have a strong feeling that the burger had the contaminated cheese scrapped off and was just chucked into a microwave, it was completely tastless, chewy but also unbearably crunchy on the outside, the chips were also overcooked.. my girlfriend left half of it and I tried to salvage what I could from the mess.... Considering I paid a good £8-9 for the burger and an extra £1.30 or so for the sweet potato fries I was HEAVILY disappointed, my girlfriends burger had cost £8 or so too.... In my opinion, absolute extortion. I never write reviews, so if that doesn't show how bad my experience was I don't know what will. I thought I'd give this pub a second chance as it was in its prime a few years ago when it was a stand-alone pub, but I definitely do not think I'll be returning after all this. Waste of food and a...

Very nice meal this evening, there were 9 of us reserved for a booking, there's no table service unless you order on the app but we had to queue at the bar to get our table number. For a Tuesday evening it was quite busy and so were the staff, we felt that there could have been more focus on the bar as there was a lengthy queue at times not helped by our own lengthy order. More staff attending behind the bar would have mitigated alot of waiting around to be served time. That said, we had a large order for both drinks and food, there was a young lady behind the bar which we later found out was her first night serving in bar duties but she was very happy and did her best as quickly as possible, helped out by a young lad (I think his name was Joe) who was a bit of a star, I orders several items off the menu (much to the dismay of the ever growing queue behind me) and reading from a list our group had given me, I read this to Joe and it made alot more sense to him then it did to me, 20 mins passed and we were at our table, me thinking there's no way my food order is going to be nearly correct with only one staff member and a trainee taking multiple orders at a time at the bar (management please help them out). To our suprise everything came out quickly and the food was superb, all credit to the kitchen and also the young lad that delivered our food and came back to check all was ok (don't know his name but we were table 35) unusual for me but we had no complaints on the food , all well cooked to order and very satisfied, good atmosphere and we will definitely be back even if we do have to wait longer than usual at the bar to...

Had a group of 7, 6 booked originally in oct and one added 4/5 days after. Money all squared away before hand and sorted. Now that's out the way, the extra person had their starter come out at the correct time and was great, then when it was time for the mains the person we added in a few days later was forgotten about and had to wait 16 mins after the first plate was put down, in which we had to ask 3 members of staff for this food. When it finally come the vegetables were all dried up and as if they were the last bits. When the dessert come again, when they placed what they throught was the last plate, they asked if we wanted anything else, yes, the pudding you are forgetting for the person you forgot their mains. Luckily being pudding it only took 5 mins if that, but the fact they already forgot thus person once was bad enough. Lastly we pre ordered the prosecco and baileys for one person and we never recieved the baileys and had to ask twice for the prosecco. Someone come over and told us their whole meal will be free which was great and we accepted that for this person having to eat their food by themselves, but when we got to the till they took one main off not the whole meal as stated previous. The food quality is good but service when they have made a mistake is bad as they have made it feel like it's our fault that they forgot our food. Its the second time this month we have been disappointed...
