Visited this Starbucks this evening, with my wife and children. Ordered 2 large caramel lattes. Felt the welcome from the lady at the till was cold and unfriendly. I mentioned where's the menu, and she said it flashes up on the screen every so often. I then said do you add syrups to the coffee, as she did not mention anything. How can you not promote the brand you work for to make the most possible sale, really makes me think. Also asked the lady if I can use the charging ports, she said no they don't. Clearly not right as they did work, and I plugged my laptop in, after seeing another customer using their laptop.
After ordering the coffees sat down, to do some work on my laptop. 10 minutes or so later asked the lady is the coffee ready, she said not yet. First Starbucks I have been to where I am having to ask instead of being informed that the coffee is on its way.
I still gave the benefit of the doubt and thought, the drive thru must be busy. When the coffees were received, it was to my surprise, why we had been given takeaway cups, when I had clearly mentioned we were sitting inside, again my wife was not very happy with this (maybe she was giving us a hint, to leave). I still thought lets not say anything. I felt it was cold and the caramel taste was next to none. I mentioned this to another staff member who was out trying to clear some tables, and at first she was pleasant and said, shall I bring some hot milk, I said yes please. As she walked off I said can I have some caramel syrup also please, at this point she rolled her eyes and huffed. I found this really rude and offensive, as I had been nothing but polite. My wife spotted her from a distance, and mentioned the same when she walked over to me. I said do you need some more hot milk and caramel syrup. She said leave it I am not going to ask her.
It is really unfortunate that one goes and pays top prices for a coffee and then they have to experience such unprofessional vibes from staff. It makes me think sometimes if they didn't have customers, then they wouldn't have a job, that pays their bills.
It is the first bad experience I have had with Starbucks. I visit many Starbucks and otherwise they are great, its a shame. Leading such a large number of people, in a professional environment, has helped me understand body language that is displayed, and such negative body language, I do...
Read moreOK, firstly I'd like to make obvious that I used to have no issues with Starbucks but it's just got progressively more disgusting over the past few months. Even staff have got worse.
I'll start with the Coffee as that's what they sell. I've always liked the taste of a vanilla latte from here but my gawd! It's just gotten worse and worse. The coffee never tastes like coffee just a bitter and tasteless milk/water thing xD I gave them the benefit of the doubt 4 separate times and in a row its just bad... £20 on bad bad bad coffee. I do NOT advise you use either Starbucks or this specific one, waste of money and time.
The staff, I'm not even too sure what's wrong with them, the staff either don't listen or they're having conversations on their headsets but not paying attention to the consumer. The staff look bored and fed up, to the point you can tell they hate working there.
I tried so hard to not be so critical but 4 times in a row is too much.
1/5 waste of your...
Read moreI’d rather drive an extra 10 minutes to the Starbucks in Oswestry or the lovely one on Thieves Lane (SY2 6LG) I’ve started working from than ever come back here.
Every single time I’ve been here, the staff have been rude and abrupt – whether at the drive-through or sitting in. On one visit, I was eating in at midday, went to use the toilet, and was bluntly told I couldn’t because they “were about to mop” – and that I’d have to wait until the floor dried. No alternative offered, no concern that I was a paying customer.
Another time, I asked for skimmed milk due to an intolerance, but the barista barely acknowledged me, continuing her conversation with a colleague while making the drink. It came with full-fat milk, and when I pointed this out, she tried to argue I hadn’t asked for skimmed at all. No apology, just attitude.
Basic courtesy clearly isn’t a...
