Amazing place to have food in Malmsbury . We were a party of 8 with different taste in food , some vegetarian and some vegan. I can say we were all satisfied. The menu offers dishes from the Italian tradition and dishes from the srilankan tradition. It is not fusion food, just a menu that offered two different styles of cuisine . The atmosphere is great and the interior is pretty clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. 🥣Soup of day ***** Lentil and butternut- just delicious! 🍗 Chargrilled chicken ***** Served with delicious vegetables in a creamy sauce 🍖 mixed grill **** Served with fries and a little salad . I recommend you to order medium rare 🍛rice and curry ( great for vegans) ***** Everything cooked to perfection and tasted as if we were having the food in srilanka 🥓 pork steak **** 🍝seafood Risotto *** Rice was cooked well. Personally found it a bit sweet. 🥩 sirloin Steak ***** Asked for a medium rare - and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious too! Will be going back !

A lot to like about this restaurant and a few issues that I hope will be addressed in time (the new owners only bought it 4 months ago so I'll cut them some slack) The good stuff: * Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere * Very good food * Very helpful and friendly staff The to-be-improved stuff: * It was cold. To be fair, we went on an unexpectedly cold day and the restaurant has a very high ceiling. This means even loads of heaters will struggle to warm that volume of air * The nature of the building means there are going to be drafts, especially when you're sitting next to a window (we had to move) * The vegetarian options for the dinner menu's main course were few and far between. It was a choice between Spaghetti Pomodoro and Summer Vegetable Risotto. Luckily the spaghetti was delicious but two veggie dishes out of twenty isn't a lot of choice Ultimately, we had a lovely meal, and the young man that served us couldn't have been nicer.

Fantastic meal and experience. The building is beautiful (exposed beams, gorgeous mezzanine)... but honestly Sara, the waitress (and manager?) Makes the whole place shine. She is fast, professional yet so warm and engaging. She managed the staff and kitchen beautifully. She's kind, welcoming and I watched as she gave every single group of people such amazing and personalised care. She could light up any room. I had pizza... It was AWESOME - generous toppings, to my exacting specifications (dietary restrictions) and just fresh, hand made, quality. I loved it. Crispy base... gorgeous mozzarella. The bathrooms are a bit chemical smelling and unpleasant in design... I would have gone a four star but due to the exceptional service... it has to be 5*. Dine here! . . EDIT: I came back 3 months later and Sara remembered me and knew my dietary issues!! This girl is a gem. Plus my friend had an incredible carbonara 😁

Decor was lovely and menu looked amazing. I'm not sure whether this was a one-off but the food was very disappointing. I was expecting an authentic Italian however the food was similar to what you would get in Frankie & Benny's.

We sent back 4 out of 8 main dishes, barely touched. Spaghetti Bolognese had hardly any sauce/meat on, taste wasn't bad but I could of had the same thing buying a microwave one from the local co-op at a fraction of the cost. Calzone was overdone and dry. Penne was hard/burnt at the top swimming in oil at the bottom. Carbonara was borderline cold. Starters weren't too bad, Bruschetta topping was okay but the bread was incredibly dry. The mixed seafood starter came which was just all deep fried in a bland pale batter.

There seemed to be a lot of staff, they were polite but there was a lot of standing around when there were clearly things to be done. We asked for more water which took a long time to come even though nobody was doing anything. Starters took a long time to be cleared.

Overall I wouldn't return, food is expensive for...
