New owners, very friendly, exciting ideas (vegan, vegetarian & Sri Lankan additions, due on the menu) delicious food with fresh salad & homemade coleslaw, tea in pots, homemade cakes and the great Marshfield Farm Ice Cream. Plenty of space for wheelchairs and prams (& accessible toilets/automatic doors) and next to a short stay car park. Based in the Town Hall/Tourist Information.

We were struggling to find a veggie breakfast in Malmesbury. Also wasn’t an option on the menu here but the friendly staff cooked us up a great veggie breakfast which I’d recommend. 🙂

Well, firstly, I'd like to say that Jackdaws has been taken over by new management who are not only the most welcoming, pleasant and amiable people to have been here (in the ten years I've been coming) they also stay open year round, whereas the previous owners closed during the folder months. I have probably been here half a dozen times since the new owners took over and objectively, they have widened the menu to include cooked breakfasts, a variety of cakes and biscuits, wider range of sandwiches and breads, but also (as I have in front of me right now) mini quiche and the like. They also have an excellent range of drinks. Now for my opinion. Previously at Jackdaws, I never ate because I was never particularly drawn to anything on the menu. Today, however, they had some mini quiches in the display cabinet that looked very tasty. I opted for the smoked salmon, leek and parmesan. The plate came, half full of a colourful side salad - cucumber, red pepper, carrot, lettuce, baby spinach and orange pepper, with a light dressing. There was a separate container or home made coleslaw. I prefer my quiche cold and asked them not to heat it, which they duly accommodated. SO...the quiche. My first forkful was buttery, crumbly (not dry!) crust and then I was but with the scent of fresh lemons. There's a very generous amount of cooked, smoked salmon, but not too much that it's overpowering. The parmesan is used very cleverly, more as a savoury seasoning rather than a 'cheesy' flavouring. The pieces of leek are small enough that their flavour compliments everything else. In short, i get excited about very little foodwise these days, but this was worth tonight of my way to write a review. As I'm typing this, the lady who owns it now is flitting about ensuring that all the customers (around 12) have everything they need. All ages come here, from mums with babies to the elderly and infirm, and I feel that the customer service here is going to keep them coming. Now they've upgraded the menu and the quality of the food, I feel this place is going to become hugely popular this Summer! Price wise, it's reasonable. I paid £8.60 for a medium latte (£2.40) and the Quiche so while lunch was £6.00, which seems pricey, you do get your money worth. These are good, quality, memorable dishes. I'll be back to try the others, very soon! WORTH...

From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor is charming, with cozy seating and just the right touch of modern elegance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting me with genuine smiles and ensuring every detail was perfect. The menu is a masterpiece—offering a fantastic variety of fresh, high-quality dishes and drinks. I tried their signature [specific dish or drink, e.g., lavender latte and avocado toast], and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and you could tell everything was made with care and fresh ingredients. The coffee deserves a special mention—rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. They also cater to dietary preferences with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, which is a huge plus. The service was prompt yet unhurried, giving me time to savor every moment. Whether you're looking for a spot to catch up with friends, work remotely, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a great book, [Cafe Name] is the place to go. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu! Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an exceptional...

I went in here with my mother, she ordered a sandwich and tea for herself and a tea plus one slice of toast for me, we waited over 15mins for the tea and sandwiche but the other tea and toast was completely forgotten about. Later we ordered an americano for a friend and that was totally forgotten about too. Funny though they remember to take your money !!!

Would you believe it the lady owner has banned me from this establishment because I left an honest review, what I didn't say originally was if the 15 minute wait was due to it being extremely busy I could have accepted that but it wasn't. How ridiculous to be banned because you left a review that wasn't liked 😄, thank goodness for the...
