Landlord is a miserable old so-and-so. His henchman has learnt from the master. Bar and waiting staff are often useless. BUT it's the best pub in Town - as long as you don't have a dog. Highly recommended for the beer, prices and the craic. Food is also always good.

A lovely meal with very friendly service from Bee and a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. There is a pub attached to the restaurant if you're looking to extend your stay. Reasonable prices and a good menu.

Firstly the Food, Very nice with good portion size. However the website states £10 for a roast dinner when in fact it is £15. We ordered 4 main meals and a meal off the kids menu, Main meals came in good time but the kids meal arrived wrong and had to be sent back, by the time my son got his meal i had almost finished mine. Once the main meal was finished we were asked if we wanted dessert, we asked for the menu to allow us to decide 15 to 20 mins later we finally got asked if we would like dessert,( to late by this time.) As we finished our drinks we were asked if we would like anything else or just our bill, we felt rushed to move on. when the bill arrived it was hand written with amounts against food and drinks so we had no way checking the bill and/or seeing what things cost. Small things make the difference between a return...

I have eaten here and the food was great but i have not done this regularly enough to make a fair comment.

I must say however that the beer here is some of the best around With a selection of largers and ciders helping to appeal to all types of individual.

It really is the superior real ale selection and how well it is kept along with the atmosphere that makes this pub one of the best around.

I can count the number of public houses in which i have never had a single, ( even a slightly on its way out ) pint on one hand and im happy to say this is one of them. Perfect track record from my...

Having read some of the reviews I can only concur with regards the barman. He's quite a, um, asset, for sure. A very unpleasant character indeed. If you're going to send someone away for not wearing a mask (respiratory issue and no I don't need a certificate and no you do not have the right to ask about my medical history) well then, sir, you'd best make sure you're wearing one too, which you weren't.

On a more pleasant note, I highly recommend the King's Arms down the road. Great food, an excellent view out back and I was served by a lovely waitress who was actually pleased to...
