Fantastic spot πŸ•πŸπŸ₯—πŸ₯‚Wide range of pizzas.. plenty of other options and all dietary needs catered for! My waiter was so helpful, professional, knowledgeable, attentive when you needed them, gone when you didn't.... articulate and even charming 😊 The pizza was fantastic.... lovingly crafted bread, generous toppings... proper Italian pizza but with the option of having pineapple on it πŸ˜›πŸπŸπŸ(and without the judgementπŸ˜‚)!!! I'm from the Pacific tropics and it's just our way. The decor is warm... crowd friendly. The chefs seem really kind and generous (you ask and they will do!) But in traditional Italian style your pizza won't be LOADED with toppings. Mine was quite spare of pineapple really.... I like a very crispy base and a lot of toppings... even if they ruin the base πŸ€ͺ🍍

I have been to The Bird Cage lots of times when staying in Malmesbury with work and it never fails to meet / exceed expectations. Me and my colleagues agree that this is the best pizza ever. Strong opinion I know, but wow it is so good. The cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff make the experience that extra special. I am personally also a fan of the flying monk brewery and their beer is a great compliment to the pizza. Amazing!

We took our teenage Son here who happens to be autistic. They were very clued up on autism and even offered to turn the music down. They allowed him to bring his little dog in with him and even gave his support dog some water. The food and service could not be faulted and the owner/manager even showed me around and told me some of the history of the building. I could not fault them. The best service and food at reasonable prices.

Wonderful place and a lucky find. I went with my father after looking up that The Birdcage is a dog friendly, Italian (mostly pizza) restaurant with vegan cheese options. As stated on their website; the service was friendly, the manager was very attentive and rechecked with me 3 times to make sure that my pizza dish was completely vegan, changing my toppings at last moment to suit my needs without any fuss to make sure that I was satisfied. The veg platter was delightful as well, and with a choice of chilli oil or tabasco on top of the pizza really adds a nice kick. The interior (and toilets) were very clean and well loved, with a sort of vintage style to the decor and musical classics from the 80s - 90s really set a nice jovial tone for the evening meal. The food arrived quickly and the drinks were not a rip off. Highly recommend, can't wait to return to this lovely little gem of good...

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We waited 1hr 15 mins for our main course to arrive. After our starter we asked were our main course was, then a few minutes later we were handed the bill! We explained we had not even eaten our main course yet, they appogied and said they would take the drinks off our bill. Wow, 3 soft drinks so generous! We asked for more off the bill after waiting so long for the main, which they did. We had cinema tickets booked, which meant we had 5 minutes to wolf down a whole pizza and pasta meal. We were given take away boxes, but this really took the edge off our evening out. We felt like the waiting staff really did not care and did not apologise as we left the restaurant. Really poor service, and the pasta, ham and leek dish was very tasteless. Would not rush back here...

Very disappointing lunch. Ordered a 'summer special' : a prawn, thin crust pizza along with an additional topping of anchovies. My daughter ordered the 'King Athelstan'. My pizza was extremely below expectations. I was expecting some reasonably sized, juicy prawns. Given the billing 'summer special' you expect something err..special ..not frozen shrimps. (I come from a fishing family background so I know what the difference is!). What I got were some sorry looking shrimps. A very sparse few anchovies were thrown on top. My daughter's pizza was slightly better but the pepperoni were very sorry looking 10p piece sized salty discs. We have been frequenting Bird Cage for years but the standard this lunchtime does not encourage me esp. at Β£14 for a limp pizza. The Β£2 on top for a couple of anchovies sealed my...
