This is one of the places which I'm always rushing past, without the time to go in, and it's most frustrating when that involves a Pub. So as I was working in Trowbridge, I made a particular effort to open a gap in my schedule.
I can tell it's a friendly place, as there are often happy-looking people sitting outside. They say the people make the Pub, although further research will be needed, as I managed to pop in on a very quiet day. All cooked perfectly , nice chips etc. The atmosphere was lively . All the bar staff are friendly , nothing too much trouble ! Hamish came to our table to check all was ok, and introduce himself . a nice personal touch ! We all had a great night...

I opted for the lasagne which I thought would have been a fairly bland affair. to my surprise , out from the kitchen came a freshly prepared and great looking plate of food. but WOW! the taste, a true Italian delight, like "mamma used to make in Napoli" I was not expecting this in a pub in Trowbridge. I definitely will be coming back soon and i will make sure I haven't eaten again. The comedy was great too, Johnny Awsum was true to his name. Great food , Great atmosphere Great night...
