Sam's Chicken — Restaurant in England

SAMs.. a genuinely good tasting resturant, but I’d avoid this chain. It kinda smells like wet dogs there and the old guy with the glasses hates his job and you can see it by his service.

I don’t usually write bad reviews but the rudeness has happened far too many times for me to just ignore it, he once said I speak like a child after I gave him my order, I take things on the chin but there was an element of spite with it, I’ve got a deep voice, he can’t hear me? Fair enough. Since then I’ve been avoiding the place but today I was looking for some quick food, I like their peri fries so I figured I’d give them another shot.

I went there, and behold, Mr Grumpy Sams :( severed me again… I asked if he could swap out 4 of my peri wings with 4 fried wings, thought it wouldn’t be a problem considering he had a mountain of fried wings at the end of the day, instead, he tried to charge me double just for swapping out my wings.. I called for him while he was preparing the food and he just ignored me, even one of the other staff members had to get his attention. He went and whipped up the order before I even paid and then said it’s my fault because I wouldn't pay double the price, he told me to wait aside to amend my order but after waiting 15 minutes to get served even though I was the only person waiting, with 1 person behind me by the time he was done? I’m sorry, you’re not the only chicken shop on The Drapery, I didn’t feel valued as a customer so I took my money to KFC and enjoyed a quick service with an iconic taste.

It really wouldn’t have been that much of an issue to change the order, as I just wasn’t going to pay double the price just for 4 different wings, I’ve been a customer there long enough to know they actually used to have this deal so the fact he made it such a big deal was pretty unreasonable.

Went I need asked old man in white shirt for fresh chips had ago at me told me to get out asked him for his bosses number or owner of the franshies he told me get out his shop he the manger I eat here every lunch and every day after work as it halal and in town where I work he had fully been disrespectful towards me and when I asked another member of staff young girl working there he basically told her she lose her job if she etalks to me I am disgusted with this behaviour I want something doing about it if he didn't half deep chips and re drop them on serving when I was happy to wait three mins for fresh chips saying should he just though them in bin all this will be on camera in Northampton shop as has only just happened before righting this rely regards Danny

today's second visit was that of a strange one I left my number for hr or some one in charge to ring me as I'm still not happy I believe my friend who works there who does so care for all customers I didn't know before using this chicken shop is genuine and would make best manger for store could be worried about them thinking he might of put me up for it or something he was his usual friendly hardworking self but however felt like something was on his mind regards to me after the review left I'm not one for bad reviews by any means how ever the one guy made my visit that unpleasant by his own admission I want go on store why he is on shift all it would take is sort bro the customer is right it's petty over fresh chips or re dipped if I say I will wait three mins ent up to him if I then go...

Walking past looking for halal food and decided to try this place. Was not disappointed. We were lucky to get a table it was busy. They have decent deals, we got 2 blaze burgers with fries for £7. Portions were decent. Kids meals were appropriate size and there was a choice of a few different mains for them. Kids drink only fruit shoot not as in picture on the wall. The star meal we ordered had to be the peri chicken box, a burger, wings, corn and fries for £6.50. Very filling and peri salt on fries was great. We have an allergy to cater for and when I enquired about it the member of staff gestured to the wall next to the counter which was a list of all menu items in large print showing allergies. Never seen such clear signposting, thank you Sam. The other thing about this place is they are part of a healthy eating initiative and it shows in the food, not greasy and seems they are committed to offering healthier options. The rice box another customer had looked great. Tables and chairs quite sturdy, seats are comfy, a little low for small kids and I didn't see baby chairs, but that's no big deal.
