Zapato Lounge — Restaurant in England

My sister and I eat here after a shopping trip and this was our second time here. The first time was so good that we left a £4 tip. However today we went and we got seated on a dirty table (the pots were there until after we’d finished eaten). It was fairly busy but they seemed to prioritise a reserved table and people that ordered after us.

I only ordered a panini and my sister order a fish cake with poached egg and rocket with fries. They said half an hour and half an hour later my food came but my sister waited a further 15 minutes and I had finished my food. While she was waiting she had an apple due to feeling faint and hungry.. due to the wait we were not going to have a pudding and so my sister had a yogurt (although she was told off, which seemed ironic considering that the staff were that busy but not too busy to notice she was eating food from somewhere else.)

The food was average but bad average, poached egg was hard boiled, my sister asked for no hollandaise sauce but lo and behold there was hollandaise sauce. No apology for it being late and staff didn’t seem bothered about our experience, such as asking if we were enjoying our food. Safe to say we will NOT be returning and will NOT be recommending to...

What a wonderful place. They say it's a cafe/bat it should be changed to gourmet alternative dining experience. The interiors here are something I've never seen before and I work in the interior fit out sector. The staff are so smiley, friendly and very responsive when I asked a bunch of crazy questions about the food. I came here for the beyond burger and then the following night the moving mountains hot dog and both have surpassed my expectations as I've eat at purely vegan restaurants all over the country for many years and I thought London and a few in birmingham couldn't be equaled but this is at the top of the line. The presentation, rainbow of colours, taste and texture shows that this place is going place. The drinks menu is clearly created by themselves through a long through process and trial and error testing which must be the same as the menu. Northampton is luckily to have this place and the staff who have made it happen. So glad they survived the pandemic. I wol be visiting every time I pass through Northampton or work here. So gutted I'm going home...

My daughter wanted Churros. The only place I know that serves them is this place so thought we would make an afternoon of it. I ordered 3 vegan tapas and her the Churros. Together.

I ordered from the table but had to go to the counter anyway because the process didn't update before ordering. The drinks came swiftly and were welcome.

They delivered my tapas first, mostly cold except the potato dishes which were obviously straight out the fryer. I sent the cold burnt cauliflower back. I assumed they nuked it and sent it back. It was better. The Churros came after I had finished despite asking for it to come together.

We were offered a soft drink to make up for the mish mash service. We declined. We don't drink soft drinks. Plus the experience of eating out is rarely rectified by having another drink when you're already hacked off with waiting to eat, you've already overpayed via the online service and the food was halfway ok.
