Shazmin's - Melton Road — Restaurant in England

I recently had the pleasure of ordering a variety of dishes from Shazmins, a fantastic takeaway located on Melton Road in Leicester, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Not only was the food exceptional, but the customer service provided by Shakz, the manager at the branch, was truly outstanding.

From the moment I placed my order until it arrived at my doorstep, Shakz went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations that made my meal even more satisfying.

Now, let's talk about the food. From their mouthwatering doner cob and chips to their delectable fish and chips and irresistible wings, every item exceeded my expectations.

The doner cob and chips were a true standout. The succulent and flavorful doner meat, perfectly nestled in a soft, fresh cob, made for a heavenly combination. The generous portion of chips was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making it an ideal accompaniment. The dish was simply irresistible and left me craving for more!

Moving on to the fish and chips, Shazmins really knows how to make it a memorable experience. The fish was beautifully cooked, encased in a light and crispy batter that was not greasy at all. Each bite revealed tender, flaky fish that melted in my mouth. Paired with the golden, perfectly cooked chips, it was a match made in heaven. It's safe to say that Shazmins has mastered the art of fish and chips!

Lastly, the wings were an absolute treat. They were flawlessly seasoned and had a delightful crunch on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The sauce options provided a burst of flavors, ranging from tangy and spicy to sweet and savory. These wings were truly addictive, leaving me wanting more even after I had devoured them all.

The overall experience at Shazmins was exceptional. The food was delivered promptly, still piping hot, and the portions were generous. The quality of ingredients used was evident in every bite, and the flavors were well-balanced. The excellent customer service provided by Shakz added an extra touch of satisfaction to the entire experience.

Uncle Shaq’s, he hates it when I call him uncle but all I’m going to say is when you walk into Shazmin’s he will make you feel more than welcome and look after you and you’ll be wondering why you’ve never eaten there before.

His saying is ‘The food and hygiene of everything needs to be immaculate because my mother eats from here, the same way with my customers. People work hard for there money to come spend in my shop it has to be a top tier service’

Doesn’t matter if you’re spending £2 on chips or £40 on a feast everyone you will NOT be disappointed.

Just to put it in perspective we eat religiously every Sunday from here with the whole family. And a couple of times during the week You can never go wrong with uncle Shaq’s food. He even has a special he makes with the Donner and I can assure you if you love spice and flavour this is for you!

How the mighty have fallen, the standards of shazmins has dropped. What used to be one of the top take aways is now one of the worst. The original shop was brilliant but this branch has taken its prestige away.

They claim everything is the same as the original shop yet the chicken Donna is completely different tasting like it's frozen, the chips are always soggy and undercooked, no matter what requests are made they never can adhere to it. Clearly can't take criticism as they are always in denial and get aggressive. Despite the food standards, shazmins always had excellent service, this is in the gutter now. The owner himself is rude and egotistical, always shouting at staff and treating them like rubbish, clearly rubs off onto the staff as they are rude, ignorant and disrespectful.
