Shells Cafe Ventnor: A True Gem!

Visited Shells Cafe in Ventnor on Saturday, April 12th, and what a truly wonderful find it was! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the most friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff. It's rare to find a place where every single member of the team seems to genuinely care about the service and the customer experience, and they all looked so happy in their jobs – a real testament to the atmosphere.

The menu offered a nice selection of lunchtime staples, including sandwiches, paninis, and jacket potatoes. However, it was the specials board with its lovely homemade choices and the tempting array of cakes and homemade bakes that really caught our eye. We were pretty full after our lunch, but the rocky roads looked so delicious that we simply had to take a couple away with us – and they certainly didn't disappoint!

What a fantastic cafe in the heart of ventor. From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left. My family and I went in earlier this week, as soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed by glyn and Shelly the owners of the cafe, we sat in the window seat which had a lovely view. The waffles were to die for, the kids loved them, and the ham and cheese croissant was soooo tasty, the menu has such a good variety to choose from. The coffee was the nicest coffee we have ever tasted! Service was super fast! The decor was beautiful and the toilet facilities were spotless, with lovely touches that really link in with the shells theme! We will definitely be returning, all round the best cafe in ventor! Best Sausage rolls on the Island!! Being a window cleaner who covers the whole Island I have tried many different sausage rolls from different places. I have to say Shells is hands down the best when it comes to sausage rolls. They have a few to offer and my favourite is the ploughmans sausage roll, closely followed by the red onion chutney variety. The pastry is buttery and flakey, absolutely perfect. And the FILLING!!!!! generous amount bordering on huge, great texture and the flavour is out of this world. I won't just be going back for more, I 'll be going...
