Our recent visit to Smile Grill during our family day out for the Bournemouth Air Show and a relaxing beach experience left us with smiles all around. We scouted several dining options in the area, but Smile Grill's food instantly caught our attention. The mouth-watering offerings showcased a blend of flavours that we couldn't resist. Smile Grill pleasantly surprised us with its reasonable pricing. It ensured that our family could enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. While the portions were generally good, we felt that the fries accompanying the Half Chicken could have been a bit more generous. However, the real star of the show was the Kabuli Pilau with Lamb Shank—a must-try that exceeded our expectations. The establishment's cleanliness and ample space at the back made it an ideal spot for families. We appreciated the effort to create a welcoming environment. While the overall décor could benefit from an update, it's important to note that the ambiance didn't take away from the fantastic dining experience. A little refresh combined with the exceptional food would undoubtedly work wonders. It's worth mentioning that Smile Grill offers halal food and a range of vegetarian options, catering to various dietary preferences. The owner and staff at Smile Grill deserve special mention for their politeness and helpfulness. Their warm and attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. We will be back again on...
Read moreThe food was inedible. I ordered a delivery. Mixed lamb and chicken doner kebab. When it eventually arrived 55 mins after I ordered the food was cold. The lemon meat was so dry, chewy and I couldn't bite through it. It looked like old leather dogs toy. It looked like yesterday's leftovers. No chilli peppers on either of our orders. After specifically asking for extra. Only a couple of strands and cabbage and a couple of slices of onion made up the salad part, which had been dumped at the bottom so was swimming in grease. Revolting. I wouldn't even feed that to an animal. We drove back to complain and the staff were friendly and made a fresh kebab no problems. When I got home, I tucked into my kebab which was still hot. The chicken was tasty, but only a very small amount. No way I'd call that a large. And yet again the lamb meat was inedible. See through, plasticy, chewy, leathery. There is also a lack of flavour. No seasoning or spices in the lamb meat, if it even is lamb?? It was so dry it could almost stand up on its own. I called back and they said they can't do anything about it. I will have to get on to food standards. Thoroughly disappointed to have wasted my money and time, on this absolute hell of an eatery. I would suggest you stop selling that product unless you can serve it properly. Also they kept refusing to give us extra chilli peppers saying they didn't have any, even though I could see them and...
