The pub experience was terrible. We were told that the pub is dog friendly, but ironically the barman was not dog friendly at all. Our dog was off the lead for less than a minute, briefly on the furniture, and we were asked in a highly impolite and unpleasant fashion to keep the dog on lead at all times. We do not mind the rules at all, in fact completely respect it, but the barman could have been polite in his ways. Read moreWe went to the Snickleway tonight to support our friend Robin Pickford - his first gig since March 2020. On arrival, we were greeted by Robin. However, on approaching the bar, we were told by an extremely rude barman that we couldn't get served because it was 'table service only' - despite these restrictions being rescinded by the government. We said goodbye to Robin and left. Now there's plenty of competition out there and we found another bar nearby doing service at the bar. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this venue....
Read moreThe service at the bar was terrible, there was only one person waiting when I walked in so I stood next to him, then another guy walked in and stood at the end. The barman walked straight up to this guy, he obviously knew him because after he ordered his beer he said "get one in for Tom", I said that we were first but the barman still served him first. The guy who pushed in then made a joke about us being invisible.
