We had a brilliant evening meal here and it’s certainly one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a while. We were seated right at the back of the restaurant, tucked round a corner, which initially felt a little cut off and didn’t have the same level of decor and atmosphere as the rest of the restaurant, but the service didn’t suffer at all and once the adjacent tables were occupied it was fine. The waitress was really friendly and very proactive throughout the visit, with no need to wait for drink top ups plus she was knowledgeable enough about the menu to offer advice when we were ordering the food. The food menu is extensive but does specialise in more authentic dishes than the usual items you’d be familiar with across British Indian restaurants. If this is worrisome don’t fear - the kitchen is willing to make dishes not listed too so most people should be happy. The drinks menu is equally large and prices for even the wines and champagne are very reasonable. The food arrived in good time with superb presentation and brilliant flavours. The tandoori sharing starter was incredible, with huge prawns and succulent very tasty meat. The size was great as a sharer and beat anything I’ve had in an India restaurant in the UK before. The king prawn biryani was a lot larger than it initially looked with good spice levels and plenty of prawns. The standard rice sides were a good size although the naan was perhaps a little disappointing compared to the quality of the rest of the food dishes - it was smaller and thinner than anticipated and flavour just wasn’t quite on par. Overall it was a brilliant experience and I’ll certainly be returning again when looking for an Indian in the town; highly recommended!

I love the whole vibe of the restaurant! The staffs were warm and approached us with a smile. We ordered 2 Briyanis: one with jackfruit and paneer other one with chicken, love those soft paneer and onion toppings and everything taste superb! The Bhaji has full of flavor too and the Chicken Lollipops were surprisingly juicy because we first thought that is is just plain fried turns out it was better than expected. We also enjoyed the Poppadoms with mango chutney and salad, finished it within few minutes. We also ordered Gulad Jamun, a must try. It was worth an extra calorie! Kudos to the whole staff who served us really well, you can see them serving other guests the same way too. We were served well by Sky and it was a good experience. I recommended Spice Culture to my friends right away after the visit and I will definitely coming back soon too!

We went for a meal at Spicecultureuk to celebrate my birthday yesterday and it was, by far, the best Indian we've ever had! We had Poppadoms and pickle tray to start, followed by a Veg platter and Tellicherry Squid. Then for mains we had the Mushroom, Gobi and Paneer Korma, the Chicken Tikka Saagwala, Peshwari Naan and Garlic Mushroom rice. Every aspect of the meal was well presented and so tasty! We had to take a doggy bag home as our eyes were clearly bigger than our bellies 🤣 We will definitely be going back again soon though. They even sang happy birthday to me and brought me a little dessert out. Excellent food, excellent service and well priced too. All that and a bottle of wine with service included came to around £85. The starters looked so good we just tucked straight in, so I didn't even take photos, only got pics of the mains. 10/10

So delicious! Thank you! 😁My partner and I are huge fans of curry! It was the first time I had dined at this restaurant, I will definitely be coming back again! My peshwari naan was the best one I have ever eaten and I have had so many in my life! I asked for it crispy and that is exactly how it came, a beautiful chargrilled taste on top with so much almond paste and a perfect sweetness, so perfectly thin and doughy with crispy edges. We ordered a number of starters, the prawns were really well marinated and my partner said it was the best onion baji he has ever eaten! Not greasy, light and crispy. We both loved the chicken madras, perfectly flavoured sauce and such tender moorish chicken and the takka dahl and my lassi mango drinks were also delicious!! I highly recommend the food and equally I must say the service was fantastic, Prathan was our waiter and he was so friendly and attentive, thank you to the cooks and everyone at this wonderful independent Harrogate curry house, bravo! Top job! Here's to us dining with...

Finally - An Indian with flavour! This is what you get Indian food for - the diverse flavour and spices. There are an overwhelming number of "Indian" takeaways and restaurants in the Harrogate/Knaresborough area that churn out this flavourless goop without a single spice or herb in sight - Not Spice Culture though. As I do, I ordered a fairly mild curry (Butter Chicken) to test their use of flavour and was rewarded with even their simple dish being made up of some 6-8 herbs & spices (As any good curry should be!!) They balance flavour fantastically, they dont over-do it on flavour killing creams or sauces, and they compliment the meal with a very fresh and well made Naan and rices.

Service was very friendly and attentive too. Only criticism would be the £2 charge for poppadum's which I think could easily be much cheaper or complimentary with the meals being ordered. Otherwise, we've been back twice already and look forward to our next visit! Finally a decent...
