This isn’t just a review – it’s a warning. Before anyone even considers “reviewing” this place, let me be clear: it’s an absolute disaster.
Do NOT step foot in this so-called restaurant.
The food: The most disgusting thing you can possibly be served. I’m convinced what was put in front of me had been reused and re-cooked multiple times. It was burnt, foul-smelling, and nauseating. I only managed to take one tiny bite, and it was enough to make me feel sick. Honestly, even a small amount of this could land someone in the hospital.
The staff: Rude, fed-up, and completely unprofessional. They looked like they didn’t want to be there—and after tasting the food, I can’t blame them.
I made the mistake of walking in without checking reviews because my partner was starving and we had to eat somewhere quickly. Huge regret.
I have no idea what kind of business is being run behind these doors, but whatever it is, calling it a “restaurant” is an insult...
Read moreWhen choosing whether or not to leave reviews I'm much more inclined to leave positive rather than negative comments however not on this occasion. Quite the most awful meal out we've ever had. The beer was tainted as if the pipes needed cleaning, onion bahji was undercooked, soggy and very oily with a lettuce side salad which was turning brown. The chicken karai had pieces of chicken together with overcooked slimy onions in a curry powder sauce and nothing else. My wife had a vegetable biryani (almost without vegetables) with a sauce that looked identical to the sauce of my karai. At least the salad it came with was passable. Needless to say, we left a lot of both meals, paid and left. It's probably significant that we were, in the 90 minutes we were in the restaurant, the only diners. Best avoided - must do better or may not be trading...
Read moreAbsolutely shocking place! Please don't waste your money as we sadly did. Spice Galleon is overpriced and poor quality, with meagre portions to boot! We were the only table in the restaurant so they could have made an effort to cook nice food. All their vegetarian dishes were made using packet frozen vegetables that they are charging £9.95 for! Malaysian curry had no pineapple and for a mild curry it was spicy so my son wouldn't eat it. £14.95 for a chicken tikka masala that had a few bits of sliced chicken floating around in it, a lamb dhansak again with no pineapple and for too hot. Frozen ready made samosas with a neon mint raiti. The food was grim. Do not go to this restaurant if you value money and your taste buds! I did call them out on the frozen veg in one of the currys- we got a £5...
