So after recommendation we decided to try Spicy Ginger this evening. Placed an order, delivered within the 45 minutes quoted and rather inexpensive, especially when establishments seem to be screwing the customer with prices some 50% higher than 18 months ago. So, I was impressed. Initially. Vegetarian Tikka Massala shouldn't be just potatoes and peas, the Lamb Bhuna was tasteless and so the meal did nothing to make us think we should go there for a meal or use Spicy Ginger as our regular takeaway. It's a shame, we're happy to pay for good food, sadly Spice Island in Bolton is obviously too far away.
Take some advice, it's not all about price. Get the food right with the service and you're onto a winner.
Lamb Bhuna, isn't pieces of Lamb in your standard curry (gravy) try adding a few spices, excite us, throw a mix of veg into the vegetarian Tikka Massala. I make a decent curry at home, being of two generations ago Sri Lankan heritage I can cook. Please...

Disappointed Experience – Poor Food Quality and VAT Receipt Misleading
Ordered a takeaway shish kebab which turned out to be very disappointing. The kebab seemed like a frozen supermarket version, likely reheated in a microwave, and the main course was equally bland with no real flavor.
Before ordering, I specifically asked if a VAT receipt could be provided, and the person who took my order assured me 100% that it was possible. However, when I arrived to collect the food, I was told the boss was away and only he could issue the VAT receipt—an excuse that feels misleading, especially since I needed it to claim back expenses. Staff were friendly and polite
Overall, both the quality of the food and the service were well below expectations.

Read moreWe had our first experience of a meal, (delivered by them), on 24th March. It was excellent and a significant cut above your average takeaway Indian. We had that the £9.95 meal for one with rice and a Naan taking the bill to 11.90 delivered. The poppadoms were ok and the four pots that came with them were really good. The onion Bhaji portion was large and they were hot, fresh and crispy. The Vegetable Balti was excellent with tomatoes that you could really taste. There was even a little salad. The meal comfortably fed two of us and was incredible value. We have tried the others in Latchford Village and this was in a...
