This initially became my go-to coffee stop due to convenience, with the store being located at a petrol stop just before the route exiting Blackpool.
The covid system is currently efficiently enforced with the door propped open for fresh air, hand sanitising stations upon entry, mask requirements and no touching of the food products, with customers required to ask staff for items to be picked up and handed to you. There are also several disability parking spaces right outside the front door if anybody remains concerned with that.
On the topic of the service, the baristas (at least up until the date of this review) are polite and swift in taking drink orders. The times I visit often seem quiet but there still remains a worker stood at the counter ready to serve, even if I am the only person to have just walked in.
More widely, Starbucks as a coffee chain is tasty, my typical order consists of a medium (grande) vanilla latte. Plenty of options to suit your needs are available on the menu, and the knowledge of the staff to "flavour match" in asking for unique or out of season orders has been visible.
Overall, though it is "only a coffee stop", this is a familiar, convenient location for myself, the service is swift while remaining warmly polite, and the staff seem knowledgeable and attentive in their roles, therefore I have not experienced any faults to warrant a...
Read moreCustomer Service great until we wanted to use the bathroom. We were travelling so stopped to use the toilet en route. The Service toilets next door (24hr) were out of order so we patiently waited as the staff member cleaned the loo. Once finished, the door was locked. I asked if "red" meant locked as I didn't want to intrude on another Customer. I was told it was locked to dry the floor. A couple of minutes later I attempted to ask the next sensible question of "how long will we need to wait?" and was greeted with a less friendly "what are you waiting around for?". I explained our reasons for waiting, and it was quite rudely explained why (I think, or I'd hope we all have patience around these things nowadays) the toilet was locked again. I told them I'd understood, but just wanted a timescale so we knew whether or not to continue driving and find another place or wait. We were allowed to then use the toilet without issue.
I think if someone is stood near a toilet after they've already purchased an order, it is pretty obvious what they're waiting for. I understand the need to usher people out quickly, but maybe a sign on the door whilst the waiting phase of cleaning is done would help staff and...
Read moreAs a barista myself I know how the whole process works as well as the customer service, when I was given my drink I tried it straight away as they have a new matcha strawberry drink that Iâve got serval times from different places and they always forget to put the vanilla in even though itâs part of the recipe, anyway I knew straight away it hadnât been added as I saw her make it and I couldnât taste it so I asked a member of staff to add some she said thatâs fine when the woman who made it heard me she made a snarky remark about how she did put it in and how I donât know what Iâm talking about to her co worker who rolled her eyes and nodded in agreement, I just find it extremely rude after waiting 20 minutes for one drink and it being made wrong I was least expecting rudeness from them, when I got my drink back it was just awful it was bitty at the bottom and sour. Also the girl who was behind the counter needs to be taught that touching and playing with your hair every two seconds when being in a food and drink industry isnât hygienic at all. The staff clearly need retraining in their manners. I understand it can be stressful but thatâs not to be taken out on me as a...
