Wish I could award this pub no stars! Visited here yesterday as we were staying at the nearby caravan site. Had to wait a while for food, food was brought out all together unfortunately my chips were lukewarm, practically cold when mentioned to the server they just replied did I want them to tell someone but I'd already waited so long for my burger and chips to arrive I didn't want to have to wait any longer. Bun felt cold like it had been defrosted.
Asked the server for some tomato sauce but was told they had none at all, dunno any pub/restaurant that doesn't supply proper condiments!!!
If only it was just the food that was disappointing, the pub looks alright from the outside but the decor is dated and the toilets are disgusting, not been deep cleaned for a while even with a pandemic going on I didn't even bother going to the toilet! Wish I'd gone to the local KFC or McDonald's instead 🙄
Won't be visiting again in the future and wouldn't recommend. Only tried it out because of the good reviews about food 🤷 maybe the "cook" wasn't having a good day! Definitely more of a pub...
Read moreA member of staff behind the bar was a lovely lady but very polite very nice very welcoming it was explained to us that the food is freshly prepared so it take a little while which we don't mind waiting for fresh food but the burgers that came out and the gammon or bacon or whatever it was supposed to be on the biggest was well and truly over cooked the burgers were quite black on one side but once you at the edges the rest of the burger was quite nice it is what I've classed as basic pub food the pub is a basic pub has a pool table fruit machines as well the toilets look a little tired is the nicest way of putting it but they are very well usable so no really she's there plenty of parking plenty of access if you are disabled with ramps and things so the only real let down as such was the fact that the burgers were a little over cooked but other than that actually fine we would go again to see what it's like on another day as we don't always take one experiences being how the pub...
Read moreJust been in with my family including 2 dogs, all got seated and a lady came over and apologised saying they weren’t dog friendly. We said we’ve been here before with them but again she apologised and said the manager won’t allow them. So I pointed out to the lady that I would like her pass on to her manager that he needs to clean his pub and pointed out spilt drinks all down the wall and that my dogs were too clean to go in there anyway. The lady was nice and clearly a dog lover, but such a shame this pub has gone filthy since last time we went. Walking out to the van we spotted drinks cans, bottles and empty chicken boxes strewn all over the beer garden.
Glad you aren’t dog friendly anymore, your pub has gone to rack and ruin and was absolutely filthy inside, and certainly wouldn’t have eaten in there like we intended too.
