Nice independent café in the heart of Salisbury which serves tasty food. I joined some colleagues sitting outside in Butcher Row for a light lunch - they'd ordered 5 minutes ahead of me. I popped inside to ask about adding my sandwich & Coke to the open order and was rudely barked at by a very serious member of staff - she said "it's table service!", ushering me back outside. Yet before I'd even sat down to receive this 'table service' I get a "what do you want!?" I ordered my sandwich & drink but felt my first encounter with the staff member was unnecessarily unfriendly and unwelcoming. Also, I could not see any signs outside indicating table service. It’s apparently table service, but after waiting 20 minutes for any attention at all I tried to order at the till but was told to sit down just for the ‘waitress’ to stand around and check her phone, re-tie her hair and stare into space. I eventually had my order taken by someone else, no friendliness at all. It wasn’t busy (i can see why) no more than 3 tables including me. Food arrived before drinks, this ‘table service’ doesn’t extend to paying the bill, you have to go to the till for that. All you could taste was the cranberry which was very sweet. Completely waste of money and I wasn't given any satisfaction from the owner would not recommend the place to anyone. My friend wasn't happy with her hog roast ciabatta both of us said we would never go back or recommend to anyone. I will say the waitress apologised and...
