Greggs — Restaurant in England

Staff were incredibly rude!! I made my order via JustEat for collection, as I get to the store I go to the collection point where I’m greeted by a male member of staff who I told “im here to collect an order I made on JustEat, and my name is Ethan” he then turned to me and asked if I had a bag? I thought he said would you like a bag? I said “Yes please, I’ll take a bag”.

He then replied very rude “NO, have YOU! .. GOT! .. A! .. BAG? You’ve got hot food.” Which took me by surprise. So I got to my car in the rain to grab a plastic carrier bag.

When I returned to the store, I over heard the guy say to another “LOOK he’s got a plastic bag” in which I’m so confused at this point, I didn’t understand what the guys problem was.

Another member of staff asks me do I have a bag? I said “Yes” & showed him the bag, he said no we can’t give you hot food in a plastic bag, you need a heat resistant thermal bag. So I realised then they must have thought I was a Delivery Driver. I then told the two staff members I wasnt a delivery driver and I was only apologised to by the second member of staff, not the other rude guy whom give me attitude. I took my food and left!

I understand how the confusion happened… BUT if that’s how you speak and treat people that’s disgusting! I was not happy with that service, how I kept my cool...

I've been to many different Gregg's all over the country and I must say Greggs in Paignton next to Aldi is by far the best

The staff there are absolute treasures I hope Gregg's HQ know how lucky they are to have such wonderful staff. Val & Ollie & Lorraine always greet me or my wife with a welcoming smile that's 100% genuine they are amazing so polite and always bring a smile to our faces, there's also another lady there who is the same. Great characters to have working in the store thank you guys n girls for all what you do Gregg's wouldn't be the same without you all. The store is always spotlessly clean always lots of items ready for the customers this really is one of your branches that other branches could learn alot from. We enjoy a Greggs, but despite this one being one of the larger stores, the stock management is consistently poor. Unless you get in really early (pre 11am) you'll regularly find the shelves bare. You can ask for things to be made up fresh but these seem very limited again. The staff are friendly enough, I just don't get why the stock level are so poor when the smaller outlets in the towns can manage it. After 3 years being open you'd think management would learn a thing.or two about the...
