Swan — Restaurant in England

Service and prices were excellent at first, however when two local girls took a dislike to me (I had not spoken to them at all, nor did I intend to), dispite having a room I was not listened to as they were 'locals' and I wasn't. I was then told my attitude towards women was shocking. They were acting out of order and God forbid I defended myself verbally and asked them to leave me alone as the staff I reported the problem to earlier wouldn't intervene. As you can read below, owner resorts to personal and unjust insults.

I have PTSD which was explained to the staff and no reasonable adjustments were made for me despite me asking that the women were moved away from me (as they were the ones causing the problem by hurling abuse at me unprovoked). This amounts to discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, as I was treated less favourably because of my disability just because the staff didn't want to deal with the women, giving them license to behave how they wished without consequence. The fact they were triggering my PTSD was completely irrelevant to the staff and 'manager'.

Visited The Swan for the first time on Tuesday 23 July 2019 for a function in the lounge bar. The Swan has a car park for about ten cars on the left hand side rear of the pub. It should be noted that there is a ticket machine for people to pay who are not patrons of The Swan. On the other side of the road there is a small free public car park alongside the old canal and we had to park in there as the pub car park was already full.

The lounge bar is a comfortable area with a small bar servery attached to the main bar . The Swan has Banks Real ale and other beers from the Marston Group. I had a good drink of Hobgoblin and other people enjoyed their...

I’ve slept in many different hotels in my time and may I say this has to be one of the best I have ever been in. Truly an exceptional establishment! From cleanliness to the likes of alcoholic beverages to quality of service. It was truly divine. Following on, this terrific, paramount experience comes at the expense of, I believe her name was Ellie, a bubbly young lady whom may I say actually made my whole experience on this trip. She was attentive, kind, a great listener as well as a talker. Genuinely one of the loveliest bar staff I have ever met.
