Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in England

Went there yesterday,I was buying drinks while my friend was waiting with kids at the table.Like always,just 1 person working at the till and making drinks.After a while,one of her colleagues came to help and made my latte.The card machine broke down,the person at the till left on her own again.The supervisor Sam (duty,manager?) was walking around around,making flower arrangements ,not even looking at the employee if she needs help,ignoring the queue that was getting longer and longer.After she'd been asked for help,she moved the cable on the card machine and walked away.Obviously,the card machine wasn' t fixed.After 8 minutes with the drinks on my tray and queue getting longer,Sam making flower arrangements in front of the queue (still not showing intention to help).The employee asked for help again and she said she is going to call duty manager and finished flowers before going to do it.She came back,said (to the employee only) that she can take cash payments only.I said I didn't have any cash with me.She looked at me,shrug her shoulder and said ;What should I do?There's nothing I can do about it!" I was waiting in that queue for 15 minutes,having hot drink ( on my tray for ten,and to find out that person in charge is not even bothered to show any interest in customers,I did what any customer would do-walked away and will...

What a disappointment. I love the Tesco store and look upon it as my local shop. Recently my friend and I, both eighty, thought that we would have a treat and have lunch in the Tesco Cafe. I ordered fish and chips and was told that there was no fish available. I was then offered Eggs Benedict which I agreed to. After waiting for ages I was told that they could not poach eggs that day! The young man who came to our table was called Ash and was very helpful. When I told him that I had really wanted fish and chips he assured me that I could have them. He was true to his word and produced the fish. All together we had waited well over half an hour and decided that we would have been better to have gone to a fish and chip shop. A really bad experience, it was a ridiculously long wait, over 40mins for two basic breakfasts..None of the staff on duty told us about any delays or how long it would take. If we were told at the start, I'd of just had the coffee. Several people before us had cancelled their order as they were not prepared to wait any longer. When we did get our breakfasts they were not worth the wait, Luke warm, toast was not toasted, no butter and the cutlery had seen better days. This isn't the first time we've experienced this level of service before, however on the previous occasion a fantastic member of staff apologized profusely and gave us complimentary coffees.
