Prezzo Italian Restaurant Trowbridge — Restaurant in England

Ate here 2 nights on the bounce recently. The 1st night was great, good food & service. Food arrived quickly & hot and the staff were great.

The 2nd night was very much a different story unfortunately.

Majority of the food was good although my main came out luke warm & I then had to go and find someone to get it reheated as no-one had seen fit to come and ask if our meals were ok. When it was returned to the servery, it sat on the edge whilst the member of staff chatted to one of the members of kitchen staff whilst pretty much leaning over my meal.

Other staff members there also mostly appeared to either be there under duress or just no longer seem to enjoy their jobs judging by their general projection.

Ordered a desert to take away & asked for the bill as had had enough by this point. Card machine appeared, desert did not! Again, had to go and find a member of staff to ask for it.

Have previously eaten here before & it was good, the same as our 1st recent night, so hoping this was perhaps just a one off.

Still a shame really though as was pretty much the only negative in an otherwise...

Ordered buy one get one free pizzas, two fries, mac and cheese balls side and broccoli. was told he shouldn't start cooking until a delivery driver is found, he ignored that and cooked our order, we received a call telling us that our only option was to come and collect it. We drove to the restaurant and was told he will not honour the buy one get one free pizza. After returning with our (now much smaller) order we find that BOTH of the fries were missing. The broccoli was so tough we didn't know if it was overcooked or raw. The mac and cheese bites were stuck to the inside of a paper bag and were Cold, small and congealed into a gritty mass. The one remaining pizza was inconsistently shaped, small and so poorly sauced that there was approximately 2 inches between the edge of the base and the sauce in some places... Wilted leaves thrown haphazardly on top just made it look depressing. It wasn't even well sliced. A shocking performance from what we thought would be a lovely treat while we visit the area. We had booked a table for 12 people as a leaving do for our managers. When we arrived we advised that one person was sick and wouldn’t be able to make it so we cancelled one of the meals. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food to come out, despite having pre ordered, and when the food did come, they brought the cancelled meal and forgot 2 others, so 2 members of our party had to wait longer for their food. The service was very slow and the waiting staff were not overly polite. Drinks we hadn’t ordered turned up to our table and one of our party who had pre ordered a dessert waited around half an hour to be served this. My manager’s chicken was dry and didn’t come with any sort of sauce or dressing and the pizzas were all very anaemic and under cooked. It was a really disappointing send off for our staff. When we asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill at the end of the night, the waiting staff’s attitude was atrocious. Will not be...
