Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in England

My grandaughter wanted chicken nuggets, but the local McDonalds was uber busy so I said we could try Tesco's. Ordered chicken strips with chips and coleslaw and a cheese and ham toastie. The chicken strips were burnt and hard and the chips were extremely dry. The toastie was so hard around the edges I couldn't bite into it yet the middle was almost slimy. A very simple couple of meals yet cooked so badly. Suffice to say will not be repeating the experience. The one star is for the young lady who served us who was extremely pleasant...

It’s 1pm on a Sunday and I stood in the queue for 20 minutes. There were 4 people (3 orders) in front of me. The woman serving had ZERO urgency about herself. No smile, no hello, no apology or explanation. Another customer told me they were under staffed! Looking around I count 14 tables with plates and cups left on with no customers. Nobody cleaning tables. Drinks were literally poured and dumped on a tray so heavy handed. Presentation = 0 stars! Latte tastes as thin as a flat white! I should have paid the extra 50p and...

For the price it's not worth it... Recommended to go to Morrisons for a "meal". I'm on a carnivore diet and requested: Sausage, eggs and bacon.

Expecting them to bring out 2 of each item, I got this instead. The sausage is solid, over cooked and very chewy. The bacon and egg was alright. Service with a smile, can't knock them for that, but I will have to say I won't be coming to eat here again, especially for the cost of a coffee as well...
