I would leave it 0 stars if I could. Arrived at the restaurant, it seemed quiet & not busy. Waited by the door for a couple of minutes & I consider myself quite a relaxed person so didn’t think much about it. 5 minutes went by ,staff looking at us & ignoring us whilst the place was quiet & started getting a bit frustrated but was in a very good mood so didn’t think too much into it at that point. What seemed like a manager/supervisor finally saw us by the bar & asks us to sit by the bar whilst he cleans a table for us, didn’t argue it but did find that strange as there were over 20+ free tables & clean tables available but hey you do what your told. Stood by the bar whilst he cleaned a bar table for us even though we were having dinner & then he told us to “go and grab the red menus by the door for our table”. My partner walked to the door and tried to grabs them but was not sure of which ones to grab & the manager could see so he walked towards the menu and touched the ones we needed to grab and proceeded to tell us these ones grab them. At that point I was a bit dissapointed. If you can’t even be sat down and given some menus then that tells you a lot about a place. Our group of 4 proceed to order. Manager or staff member not sure what they were does not ask about any allergies or anything which concerned me as my partner has a serious allergy, that’s usually the norm at tgis when the manager will take the person with the allergies order. This did not happen & he seemed to be annoyed rushed with us. He took our order & I made sure to double check and ask twice that it was definitely the boneless sharer platter for my partner as he has allergy and I always double check to be safe.
When the food comes my partner gets a dish we did not order. We didn’t make a fuss despite all the previous dissapointments. All we said was hey I’m sorry but we did not order this and we proceeded to tell him what the order was meant to be. He had a crazy attitude with us and continued to say that is what you ordered you are wrong. I then had to grab the menu and show him look we asked for this. We double checked twice to make sure, it’s okay mistakes happen but we didn’t not order this. He got extremely annoyed with us & made mad remarks at us & started arguing with us saying we were wrong & even going as far as to say “we’ll I’m not gonna read sideways when taking the order.” The amount of attitude we got when we were being so nice despite how bad the whole experience was, blew my mind that someone could speak to customers like that. Upon reading other reviews of this place this week that does not surprise me anymore. He then proceeded to say in a sarcastic way, I’ll get you your food and stormed off. One of my friends had ordered a £26 steak just for it to be very cold. She ate it anyways and at that point we didn’t feel comfortable asking for it to be heated up after how we had been treated so we left it. We all had to eat our food whilst my partner didn’t have his meal. When he’s meal was done another waitress came to give it to us, think the other staff didn’t want to come to us at that point. She slammed the dish on the edge of the table, said the name of the dish and walked off. We then had to call her before she could leave and ask for ketchup and Mayo. She then brought that over slammed that too and rolled her eyes. You could tell they had been talking bad about us at the back, & at that point I was fed up with the disrespect. After all the negative experiences we had been receiving up until then & we remained calm & nice about it all, to have the decency to slam a plate and not even hand it to my partner who then had to eat alone was horrible. I’m a frequent tgis member but after this, I will never recommend to anyone again. You spend £100 to be treated like that. Next time we will go to wing stop, eat better food, better price & atleast be treated with some respect. I didn’t expect fine dining but despite everything we remained kind & gave respect & we couldn’t even receive the bare minimum back. Had a sore...
Read moreWe have just come home from a visit to your Cribbs Causeway branch. We will not be visiting this nor any TGI Fridays again.
Whilst we were there a table walked out, and another table who had ordered left and the servers realised once they had their food to give them. I don’t blame the others for leaving and had this not had been a 16 year olds birthday meal I too would have left.
We were left at the table with no service for 20-25 minutes, the waitress who had holes in her thin leggings was trying to take food orders before drinks- we ordered drinks then food shortly after (once we’d caught her attention) she then came back 10 minutes after our order and asked about my sons chicken nuggets- I explained we hadn’t ordered chicken nuggets but fish fingers. She laughed and said she was glad she checked. I went through the order again and she went off. The food arrived, the burger with no mayonnaise specifically stated had mayonnaise on. My sons fish finger meal had 12 or 13 chips on the plate and he told me he was hungry after it, the beans were in a tiny Tupperware pot (my son is 3- this cost me over £7!) my mother in laws order wasn’t ever put through so she didn’t even have her meal only a £5 side salad which didn’t look at all appetising. We still at this point had no cutlery. I called someone over after waiting for 5 minutes to say about my burger, the food that hadn’t arrived and the no cutlery! I told 3 staff! We waited at least 15 minutes for cutlery! The manage came over and asked what was wrong with my burger and the first thing I asked for was cutlery so people could eat but we still had to wait for it.
Myself and my mother in law didn’t eat. We said we didn’t want our meals because we wouldn’t be eating with our family.
The birthday boy (16 with autism) wanted pudding- no one else did and we all wanted to leave (like at least 2 other tables already had) but we ordered the brownie nearly £11 (FYI this price is far too much for what was served) we waited 35 minutes for this brownie. We asked the birthday boy if he wanted to wait and he did (he’d told us he wanted a brownie and we’d said yes so he wanted his brownie) I told the waitress we were waiting she said she’d go and check then 5 minutes later I asked her how long it would be- she told me she’d not been yet! We waited another 5 minutes- it arrived and my step son ate it. We asked for the bill, there wasn’t once an apology. Not by the girl serving nor the manager. The food we didn’t eat had been discounted for obvious reasons but without so much as an apology I left that restaurant absolutely fuming, out of pocket and embarrassed that we’d needed to stay and endure such shockingly awful service.
Not only will we not be returning but I will be strongly discouraging family and friends from TGI Fridays.
The service must get better, it is not good...
Read moreWe went to TGI’s in Cribbs Causeway for Mother’s Day. My partner is a huge fan of TGI’s so was very much looking forward to it. Although we arrived early, we were seated at a booth style table. Although the seats were comfy, the space was far too small with no space to move your legs leading to a very uncomfortable time. We were asked to order our drinks using the QR code on the table but this was not working. At this point, we flagged down a server who was called Jenelle. All I can say is that we were so glad that Janelle was serving us. She was super accommodating and couldn’t do anymore for us. Easily the best server in the whole restaurant! Everyone else just seemed rude and like they didn’t want to know. I’ll add that although it was Mother’s Day, it was fairly quiet in the restaurant. We ordered our drinks, starters and kids meals to start with. Our drinks arrived fairly promptly and as with everything that followed, a big smile from Jenelle. Our starters then did not arrive for around 45 minutes to an hour. However, they also wanted to bring us our mains at the same time (we had ordered these around 10 minutes after ordering our drinks, starters, etc.). Not only did they bring out the mains with the starters, but they were wrong. They had not taken note of allergies that we had made them aware of. This should have been a sign of what was to come. They delivered our starters and the side to my main. At this point, as I was hungry I did not complain but it didn’t taste great. Probably the nicest thing we had was the cheese donuts and nachos. The children were still waiting for their food and we were a little disappointed as we expected them to come out with the starters. Shortly before our mains were brought out (again), the children’s food had arrived. The burger looked okay but the pasta (tomato tubes) looked dry and quite honestly, looked like it had been microwaved or reheated. As a result, our little one did not have any interest in eating it and instead resorted to eating chips from our main meals. The burger that I had was dry and not very tasteful. The tastiest thing on my plate were the chips. My partner had the steak surf and turf and ate probably just a few mouthfuls. She said it tasted off, both the steak and prawns. She was ill later that evening. Due to our experience at this stage, we did not send the food back as we didn’t want to wait any longer. Would not recommend visiting this restaurant. The only saving grace was Jenelle. We’re really thankful for her service and felt that she was let down by her other team members. This place needs some SERIOUS...
