If you're looking for a solid shopping trip in Bristol, The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is definitely worth a visit. One of the biggest perks is free parking. Unlike a lot of other shopping centers that charge ridiculous prices just to park, Cribbs has a massive car park where you can leave your car all day without worrying about the cost. That alone makes it a winner in my book.
Inside, there are loads of shops to browse through, including Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Boots, Next, and plenty more. Whether youāre after clothes, homeware, or just fancy a browse, you wonāt be short of options. Itās not as big or varied as Cabot Circus in the city center, but it covers all the essentials.
When it comes to food, thereās a great mix of places to eat. Youāve got classic spots like Nandoās and Pizza Hut, plus fast food options like Burger King, Greggs, and Slim Chickens. Whether youāre after a sit-down meal or just a quick bite, thereās something for everyone. The food court is well laid out, so even when itās busy, you can usually find a table without too much hassle.
One thing I really like about The Mall is how clean and well maintained it is. The whole shopping center looks modern and tidy, and even the toilets are kept really clean, which isnāt always the case in big shopping centers. It also looks amazing at Christmas. They really go all out with decorations, and the whole place has a festive, cozy vibe.
Iād say The Mall feels a lot cleaner and safer than Cabot Circus. Thereās way less of the usual city center hassle, no worries about parking charges, no dodgy backstreets, and it just feels like a more relaxed shopping experience overall. That being said, Cabot Circus does have more to do, especially if youāre looking for entertainment, nightlife, or a wider range of shops.
Vue cinema is just around the corner from The Mall, so if you fancy making a day of it, you can do some shopping, grab some food, and then catch a film.
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is a great place for a stress free shopping trip. Itās clean, safe, has free parking, plenty of shops, and a good food selection. It might not have quite as much going on as Cabot Circus, but for an easy, enjoyable shopping experience, itās definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHmm. Popped on on way back from a day out to see what's on offer for me. Ok for a wander about I guess. Like a lot of shopping centres I see now its almost as many places to buy an expensive snack or coffee - or full meal in the large posh fast food type restaurants on the first floor as buy anything else. There used to be quite a few clothes shops for men that I used to like going in - I like surfing clothes the hoodies in particular and a few years back there were 3 here that made a visit good for me - Quicksilver, O'Neill and Animal - now there are none. The best shop (and only now) in that style that is not in my local shopping center for casual hoodies, T-shirts and so on type shop is Super Dry now (I guess John Lewis might have had a few things but that's more of a mixture of M&S style safe and Tommy Hilfiger expense for me so a didn't bother checking this time). Is it worth travelling here for 1 (maybe 2) shop ? Not from South Wales for me. It really does seem like a lot of shopping centres now this one is about just chilling out eating and drinking and possibly buying a token item - if that's what you want happy days. Big free carpark, no bridge costs now and very clean and tidy indoor shopping centre.
However, dare I say it, I am a typical bloke - I go shopping to buy stuff I need and go home not spend a fortune (on a very nice to be fair from the aromas and appearance) on a coffee and a cake/snack and possibly buy a token item I didn't really go for.
More and more it seems for clothes now you have to go back to the days of catalogue shopping of the 80/90s only via a website now of buying two sizes of everything and sending back the size that doesn't fit or both if it looks nothing like the picture when you put in on your not body builder-esque 20 something model physique - dad bod is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEasy to find this shopping complex. It's just off the M5 junction. Or if your coming the A38 it's off that too. Either way it's off one of them so you choose which one you want to come off. Plenty of parking when quiet. Not so much choice when busy though. Various shops to go in as they all have entrances and only ones I didn't go in were the ones that have shut down. Two levels so you can either use the lift if you're a chunky monkey like me or if you're one of them active people I highly recommend the stairs to get your steps in. You have to have your wits about you as people like to just stop while you're walking and if your not careful, your gunna rear end them. Be more vigilant while walking past Ann Summers if you're a male. Reason being if you bump into someone while window shopping there you gunna put a smile on there face or be up for an assault charge. Top tip š. There is a food court which is a good name as some of the prices were criminal! But a cheeky all you can eat pizza hut buffet wins hands down all the time. Valerie's Patisserie was shut for a face lift it said. I found that odd, Why did Valerie shut her place down for cosmetic surgery? Could her staff not open up for her? Anyway I hope the surgery went well & I wish her a speedy recovery. All in all if you wanna do your shopping all under one roof this is the place to go. Just avoid when it's busy & Fridays. That M5 is a mother Trucker on a Friday and there's always some hold up north bound or south. That's up and down depending which way your coming from. I recommend go up it's less busy than...
