Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

By far the worst hygienic place I have been to. I'll start off with the guy that was on his break eating kfc(not a problem) The problem is the fact he didn't finish his kfc on his break so decided to take it behind the counter and decided to carry on eating it while serving customers. Same said guy was coughing continuously behind counter and not once did he wash his hands. Also the woman that kept going over to him and taking his food also never washed her hands when returning to prepare drinks for customers. Then on to the guy that decided to give me my drink and as I needed a straw instead of giving me the straw from the middle. He decided to pick it up from where I would be drinking from. Now this is bad enough due to covid times but all this is just basic hygiene which the staff in this store just lacked. This was all over the 10 minutes I was in there so God knows what they do the rest of the day. I'm so glad I went in and was able to see how bad their hygiene actually is and I for one most definitely won't be using this drive through...

On Sunday of last week I came to your drive through store as I do most week, and with 4 young children in the car I stupidly forgot to order my coffee at the speaker and was too late to reverse when I noticed. Not thinking this would be a problem as all I wanted was an iced coffee, and in fairness I have to pay at collection anyway I explained to the lady at the counter that I stupidly had drive past and forgot to order, she was SO bloody rude! Told me I had to wait the 10min wait again and drive around to re order I explained I only wanted an iced coffee but she told me to leave asap as I was holding up the que, the young girl was of an Asian background probably early 20s and honestly had no customer service what so ever she was so rude and told me to hurry up and leave! The staff behind her even looked shocked at their attitude and customer service. First and last ever time at Costa. Always get my coffee on the go from McDonald's, thought I'd try Costa for a change. After the app refused my order twice it went through. I was rudely told at the Drive Thru that I could not collect my order there and had to come inside to get it. Great start during the COVID pandemic. Why have a Drive Thru if customers can't use it. Went inside and could not see the collection point (there isn't one). Waited in line with other customers for a while before being spoken to like a piece of dirt by the old woman and told that my order was waiting at the front of the store (unattended on the bin). The coffee and cake I'd ordered were both poor... lacking in flavour. Appalling experience and especially the terrible customer service which thankfully you rarely see nowadays. Also, why do out of town stores close at 6pm? No idea how this company has been...
