We've always loved going to Las Iguanas but we've been let down the last two times we've gone, so sadly won't be returning. We went last Saturday as I've just had surgery and needed to get out of the house. When we arrived, the front of house was really friendly and polite so was our waitress. However, that's all I can say was good about the night. We ordered our food and waited a while, when food finally arrived, I got given lukewarm nachos and a drizzle of the extra charged runny cheese I ordered. I waited to eat with my hubby and kids but their food didn't arrived with mine and got told by the waitress that the order wasn't put through together and she apologised for it and then said it won't be long. It was at least another 20 mins before their food arrived and I was left to eat mine whilst my starving toddler and 8 yr old son looked on. I have finished dinner by the time theirs arrived. When the food did arrive, my toddler who literally eats anything, turned her nose up at the chicken burger. I opened it and noted the the chicken in it was rock hard and not palatable. I asked the waitress to replace it although she looked quite perplexed as to why anyone wouldn't want to eat it My hubby's burger was a disaster as well. Bland, dry he also send this back. The manager asked if he wanted something else, he ordered a curry and he said a Tesco finest ready meal tasted better and was very under whelming. The fajitas son had had no colour to it and looked anaemic and bland. Don't know if they changed chefs or whether they cutting costs but it's gone down hill, which is sad as its the only chain restaurant we ever go to. We've spend about £94 and expected better but I could have just stayed home and ordered take away for a fraction...

We were seated at a table that had a QR code to order food and drinks, however it didn't work! Why have QR codes on the table??
Wasn't in a hurry, so the slow service was a bit of a bonus!
First problem was they were out of IPA beer, so had to make do with a bottle beer instead. Food eventually arrived, but both mine and another's burger and chips, that looked tasty, were found to be barely warm!
The meals were taken away and fresh "hot" ones brought back about 10 minutes later. We asked for some mayonnaise and were given an almost empty bottle of Hellmann's mayo. Why not use mayo pots?
Halfway through the meal my wife noticed a black hair swimming in her curry (she is blonde). We informed the waitress, and the meal was taken away. Unfortunately, my wife had lost her appetite, and didn't want to try anything else.
Later a male from our party, went to the toilet and found 2 urinals were out of order and overflowing. Yuk!
Given the poor quality of the meal, the waitress reduced to the food portion by 50%, however on inspecting the bill we noticed that we had been charged for the IPA beer, that was out of stock! Why? This was then removed, and a new accurate bill presented.
Maybe younger diners may not have complained about the meals or noticed the discrepancy on the bill, however being in our 60's we know when things aren't right. On a positive note, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, when you could...
Read morebeen here twice this week. first experience was pleasant, served by a lovely waiter. my 2nd visit was appalling. me and my partner ordered the click and collect service and we chose a timeslot with 1 hour 15 minutes in advance. once we arrived, we were told that they haven’t got any chicken and therefore i would have to order something else and wait again for a significant amount of time. This would have been fine if it wasn’t for the attitude received by the waitress. She persistently urged me to just cancel my order and get a refund (assuming it’s because she couldn’t be bothered.) She tried to play on the fact that it was a ‘busy night’ despite only a few tables being taken. I agreed because the rest of the menu didn’t fit with my allergies and they said they wouldn’t cook me a fresh one, taking out the ingredients i’m allergic too (dairy) because they cook everything in the morning. Once i agreed to the refund, the waitress/manager then told me she doesn’t know how to issue a refund and urged us to leave. Luckily we stood our ground and after waiting for a significant amount of time and her calling somebody else who knows how to do their job, we were issued a refund.
