This restaurant has the greatest food I have ever tasted It was my landlady's 62nd birthday, and she wanted to have dinner here Thier was 15 people in all in the party from the start on entering the restaurant we could already tell it was going to be great service we all sat down and straight away they took our drinks and starter order, after only wanting 10 mins or so they came, then the main course obviously with 15 people we had something different but this was not a problem and as the menu is not a normal Indian menu people would be used to but the staff were great and took the time to explain to everyone what every thing was as its a fine upmarket Nepalese and Indian Cuisine even when ask for a normal curry it wasn't a problem when it came to the table to be honest the portions don't look alot on the plate but with rice etc it was more than enough and I was full by the end.
Nobody has a sweet as like i said the main course was enough As for drinks, some had a beer. Some had just soft drinks which are rather expensive, like £7 for a beer and £20 for a bottle of wine, and £6 for a glass of coke but to be honest, that's just normal restaurant prices, and they have to make a profit.the total bill was £450 which is about £30 or so each and when you work that out that isn't bad at all.
Overall the service was great the food was fantastic and I wouldn't hasate to go back anytime and if you live in the area why haven't you been here yet I would highly recommend this restaurant So get an book...
Read moreWent with a family party of 10 for a meal. I originally booked the table for 8 but phoned up a few nights ago to see if they could accommodate 10 and was told no problem - but when we got there they only had the original booking and we were really squeezed in onto the table which wasn't particularly relaxing. It was a busy night and service was fairly slow but the food was absolutely delicious. There were a lot of dishes on the menu I've never heard of before, not just the usual Indian restaurant fayre. When it came to pay, the bill was £260. We decided on £30 each so that left a £40 tip. The look of disgust on the waiter's face when he saw the amount of the tip was quite shocking. We'd eat again here, but I doubt I'd leave a tip next time. If it's not good enough anyway,...
Read moreWow!! The food here is simply delicious. We’ve eaten a lot of curry in our time and both myself and my partner stated this might be the best. The chicken was so tender and not dry in the slightest, the onion bhajis had the perfect crisp and spice, and the naan bread was so fluffy and warm. Plus the prices are so reasonable! The staff are lovely and really care about the restaurant and diners, Sushant was our waiter and took great care of us all evening. We dined on the first Saturday of the Ashley Cross restaurant’s opening week and the atmosphere was great, the place was buzzing and we heard multiple tables complement how lovely the food was. I’m very happy this place has opened up locally and I will certainly be returning and recommending to others!...
