The Beaufort Hunt — Restaurant in England

We were hoping to enjoy a family Sunday lunch in the rear garden room. Sadly there was a family seated in close proximity with a set of young twins who were visibly distressed for over an hour. Instead of the staff raising the issue with the family the disturbance was causing disruption to all of us and other seated clients. Because they are regulars and we challenged the continuance of this disturbance they treated our group as the problem. When we decided to raise the issue with the parents they defended the situation as "well they are kids". I suspect this family can clear a room with their lack of consideration to anyone else wherever they go. The staff sadly are not trained in appropriate customer service and insult was added to injury as they continued to defend their own behaviour and suggest we were the problem. We all have children and understand the disruption distressed young infants can cause to other customers. This garden room is very scruffy and the food mediocre. A traditional country pub in a High Street are very historical small town. They have live music on sometimes and a good selection of all types of beer. Very friendly staff an outside area with tables and chairs and a great garden...children and dogs welcome. it's a very interesting place and outside on the way to the garden there are some quirky signs and even the gent's toilet is nicely decorated with paintings but I can't say anything about the ladies as I haven't visited. We found this pub after trying a few in the high street that did not want to serve food after 215pm ,and what a difference, really friendly, we asked if we could eat ,and the answer was yes of course, the food was really good quality, the bar person was attentive and and made our visit worth while with the great service and attitude very engaging with us really funny afternoon, highly recommend this excellent pub...
