Recently visited The Belle Vue pub after being refurbished and shut for a while. When I walked in I forgotten it had been refurbished. The seating hasn't changed. The only thing thats changed was the colour of the walls. I met friends there for something to eat. This was a Tuesday and the pub was packed with a lot if families. Luckily my friends work two minutes away so had managed to get a table. We ordered food which we were told would be around 45 minutes. It was a little longer that that but bearing in mind they were extremely busy they did well. I ordered the chicken with mushroom and Stilton. I was slightly disappointed as I have had this dish before where the chef had put plenty if Stilton on which was melted. Not this time. I had two pieces which were not melted but otherwise very delicious. This pub is accessible for wheelchair uses. It has three entrances, the main entrance and two to the side of the building where the car park is. Car parking which is plenty. Theyve changed the parking machine now so you need to know your registration ladies. One of the best pubs in Blackpool due to location and the fact they have great bands on like the Deadbeats. Everyone who lives and goes out in Blackpool have heard of the Deadbeats one of the best...
Read moreWe went there to eat this evening for my partners birthday meal, our main meals were lovely, good value for money & good service we then decided to have a desert i chose one after seeing a pic of it now fair enough they don't ever look like the pics on the menu but wen it came it was a disappointment but i did eat it, but it was poor my partner chose something else his looked great anyway i just happened to tell the girl who served us that it wasn't like it was described she didn't agree with me, i was not rude to her at all, she offered to get me a free coffee so i thanked her no problems, afterall we are all allowed a difference of opinion. Then the manager came over & asked us to leave i thought that was very over the top behaviour he said the criticism had upset his staff, i said i was sorry about that i was only saying the desert was not what i expected, he then got me my free coffee, so I assumed i cud stay to drink it, but I did find it bizarre having been told to leave for just saying my desert wasn't has described i was only speaking the truth...
Read moreAfter a long day out in Blackpool up and down the prom then around Blackpool pleasure beach for a good 4 hours, I was really looking forward to tucking into some good pub grub. Me and my partner called here to The Belle Vue to fill up before heading home. On arrival the tables we're grubby but we saw past that. I ordered some food for the both of us. I had the Chick-tastic, the food came roasting hot but when I started to eat it much to my displeasure it was dry and tasteless. The chicken kebab was as dry as a bone, it wouldn't even come of the skewer it was on. The southern fried chicken fillet was soggy, the corn on the cob was black in parts and the half chicken was also dry. The best part was the sauce and chips that accompanied it. My partner got the lasagne which looked like a sloppy mess with scraps of salad on the side. Her side portion of garlic bread was cooked (burnt) on one side and just soft uncooked bread on the other. To be honest on whole I think a starving homeless man would turn his nose up at them. Apart from that we enjoyed the...
