This is my second visit with my family,2 weeks ago we went for buffet Sunday lunch, we were treated well accept there was delay in serving our food which was reasonable okay we ate very well enjoyed the food. Yesterday 11th June Sunday we suddenly decided to have lunch outside I called the restaurant if we can come they said no problem for 3 members we can serve, table was allocated for my family starters were served when asked for 1 more non veg starter which is the best part of the meal they told us we don’t serve extra starters I was surprised I said I came 2 weeks ago there was no problem the waiter said then you were very lucky usually we don’t give customers extra starters ( 2 weeks ago when I called to book a buffet lunch and when asked how does the buffet lunch work while serving the person on the table, the person who spoke to me said it’s all unlimited what even you want you can ask for more it’s just because after covid we have stated this concept I said that sounds great)

Anyways i didn’t wish you argue about the starters, the main course was served and while eating my husband asked for something extra bread immediately the owner (Rony I assume he’s the owner LOL not fix to be one) came and said waited what are they asking for? he run towards our table and said if you want something you need to ask me. He then informed the server to get us that extra bread that we asked for, again he walked to our table and said very rudely YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER INTO THIS RESTAURANT again I was surprised I looked at him and said it’s just home water there’s nothing wrong he walked away, after paying our money to eat they treated us like prisoners.

I wish I can complain about this restaurant to the social media.

His behaved was very bad which I would never expect from a restaurant owner to do such things, very shameful behaviour I think zero customer service...

We had a truly wonderful evening at The Bombay Brasserie. It was my first visit, having heard so much from my partner, who’s dined here more than 30 times and it absolutely lived up to the high expectations.

We visited as a family of five: myself, my partner, and our three children (aged 10, 7 and 7). From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Mark, was genuinely engaging, warm, attentive, and fantastic with the children, which made all the difference.

Rony Choudhury, the owner, made a point to come over personally and warmly welcomed us. He even apologised for not being able to accommodate us two nights previous, an incredibly thoughtful gesture that really stood out. My partner remarked that this level of attentiveness went above and beyond anything he’d experienced there before.

The food was excellent. I started with a crisp, flavourful onion bhaji, followed by a beautifully spiced chicken tikka masala. My partner had the shish kebab to start and a rich, perfectly balanced lamb jalfrezi. The children shared some garlic chicken, and we enjoyed a selection of freshly baked naan breads alongside.

The evening was a perfect blend of atmosphere, service, and outstanding food. It was a pleasure from start to finish, and we’re already looking forward to...

Absolutely DISGUSTING service. The food I received was nothing like what was described on the menu. I ordered a butter chicken and I received what tasted like a tomato soup. When I asked a waiter to take it back and take it off the bill, he went to get the manager. The managers name is ronchowdry (I would love to have spelt it correctly but he refused to write it down for me) He then came over, said as he had never received a complaint about this particular dish he still had to charge me even though I was not going to eat it. When I then didn’t eat anything else as I just wanted to leave, he came over and said as I didn’t eat anything else he was willing to take the butter chicken off the bill “as it made him feel good to do so” when I asked him to leave me alone because he was being very rude and patronising he refused to and told me he was going to educate me on what a real curry was (whilst bringing a recipe up on Google….) I said it’s fine I don’t need that I know when something doesn’t say tomato it shouldn’t taste like tomato soup. I said I just wanted to write my review and for him to go away to which he said “I don’t care about the reviews that means nothing to me my customers feelings mean nothing” would strongly advise against going to this restaurant. £45 for...

Not my first time at this establishment so safe to say my review and rating are averaged over a number of visits in the interest of fairness. Getting into the restaurant is an issue as they keep the door locked so unless you have a booking you'd think it was closed and sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes before they let you in. The inside itself is in need of renovation, especially the bathrooms (carpet?!), chandeliers and paintings are lovely. I'd also add that there are flies and moths in the dining area and bathroom. When it comes to food, each time I come here there is an issue with portion sizes or incorrectly cooked orders, bare in mind this is with dishes off the menu, so nothing complex - they're very inconsistent. I will say that the tandoori grill sizzler is amazing and I would highly recommend. Food in general is nice but definitely overpriced. Our waiter was this restaurants saving grace - thanks for the fantastic service. Overall would only recommend if you've exhausted every other restaurant in the city.

As we're divvying out the bill after a delightful meal, a magnanimous figure emerges and approaches our table "Do you want shots?" he asks - it's legendary owner Mr. Choudhury. I reply that we're a large group and that such a gesture would be quite expensive and we would require us to re-split the bill. He tells me not to worry, heads over to the bar and returns with a tray filled with shot glasses and a bottle in hand. "It's on me." He affirms. And proceeds to crack the seal, pouring one shot after the other and so on. The food at Bombay Brasserie was great, but the hosting and staff are second to none and really made the visit worthwhile. Kudos to Rony and the team for a wonderful evening. We cannot wait to return and look forward to trying even more of the menu!
