Having previously eaten here about a year ago I was really looking forward to going back as we had a great visit but sadly this time I have a mixed review and probably wont return for now. My husband and I came for lunch, we were served by a lovely young gentleman called Alfie who was very polite and very helpful. We were seated and had our starter, we had the sharer and it was really nice. We were seated near the cooking/serving station, and whoever was there seemed very impatient, they have a bell they ring to tell the wait staff orders are ready, the person behind the station was constantly ringing the bell, and knocking on the glass the two young lads working hadn't stopped and were in and out between the bar and garden with trays of drink, not to mention how unpleasant it was for us sitting so close trying to enjoy a quiet meal. When our mains came, unfortunatley the lasagne was over done and very dry. I couldn't find a member of staff nor did anyone come to our table to ask if everything was OK. Eventually a man came over to clear our plates, when we were asked I explained about the lasange, he told us he was the manager and asked if anyone asked if the meal was OK, to which I told him no, he agreed the food was over done and just apologised and cleared our plates. When paying the bill I was asked again if everything was OK with our meal, to which I again stated the food was over done, she's just said "on no that's a shame" I could have argued, I could have refused to pay for the meal but I am not that type of customer but It was a Shame that the manager himself did not offer to take it off the bill, as most would. The young lads serving were lovely, my food was nice and we enjoyed the starter, so it's a real shame that the noisy environment with the constant bell ringing and window knocking and poor customer service ruined our experience, especially when you've spent just...
Read moreNot a bad Italian style pub which is nicely decorated and pleasant staff however the service was lackluster, the food was good but not as nice as lots of other Italians I've been to and like always I can never give any Italian that gives out garlic bread on a pizza 5* and nor would I as our food came out minus the garlic pizza and was told it was coming. I was halfway through my meal and they came out and said my garlic pizza had an accident and they'll make another. I had finished my meal for about 5 mins before it came out and was disappointed to say the least when I saw it was a pizza and to be fair it was bland and didn't taste of anything except dough. Also no one took our order and I had to ask for someone to serve me, no one came and asked if our food was ok ... Really the service needs work however they were very friendly. With all that I was going to give them 3 but at the end they were very apologetic and took the garlic bread hmmm I mean pizza off the bill and all in all it was a quite nice meal but won't be rushing back so...

Awful service. Staff too busy sat at a table doing other things to bother taking our order. After over half an hour, we had to catch the attention of the young girl, who seemed to be the only one working, to place our order.
I had the mixed fried fish for £18.95. I managed to find 2 or 3 prawns/calamari and 6 tiny pieces of whitebait. The rest of the plate was some sort of deep fried vegetable strips. This dish was certainly not worth the £18.95 I paid, and should be renamed "fried vegetables with the possibility of fish!"
We then waited over half an hour for our plates to be cleared and our dessert order to be taken which in turn took an eternity to arrive.
I finally got the bill and paid only to have the waitress come back and ask for more money as they had missed a drinks order off 😡
Being on limited means, this meal was supposed to be a treat but turned out to be a total waste of money and we would have been better...
